Okay so the weekend is here, and I cannot believe that summer is almost over. Of course I have blown through about five pairs of shades. My problem is that I tend to throw them around, lose them while biking or boating, or just leave them in a hotel room while I am traveling. So needless to say, I am here to give you a run down of my favorite pairs for under $50 today.
Besides that, this summer has been full of new kicks that I am wearing a lot. When it comes to that, lets just say, keeping them clean is definitely not easy. So when I came across Sneaker Lab I was in heaven. Their products make keeping sneakers clean super easy.
I have been living in my favorite white Nike Air Huarache’s, and these Sk8 Hi red Vans. What I love about Sneaker Lab, is their products refresh and restore sneakers with little environmental impact. My favorite products are the sneaker wipes and the premium kit. I tend to not wear socks so the odor protector is a total go to in the summer, and nothing is as easy as keeping the soles white then the wipes.
When it comes to summer shades, the aviator is always my go to. My favorite pair ever is from Nordstrom. They are a dark shade of black and they are only $14.00. The brass plum section of the store always has fun and easy shades that are all less then $25.00. Now for me that is a score since I cannot seem to keep a pair for longer then a few weeks without losing them.
It is that time of year again, and the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is about to begin. I have to say it is one of the best times of year for me. They have so many great pieces always, and usually I want them all. If you are a card holder you can already shop this event, but for the general population the sale starts on the 20th and you can get all kinds of amazing pre-fall pieces.
One of my favorite lines is Free People, and this cute dress is perfect for the summer in Los Angeles. Come Fall, I will pair it with my favorite booties. Their pieces all have a fun boho feel to them, which is totally up my alley.
I love pairing a fun dress with a clutch that is fun for summer. This one is available from Pixels. You can make your own on this site, and it is so much fun. Also, I layered bracelets for a fun twist. You can get all of these for under $25 each at Nordstrom.
I am totally obsessed with tassel earrings right now, and you can check out all of the fun ones that J.Crew has to offer. These are loud and colorful, which makes it more fun. When it comes to summer, I love to mix and match tons of colors for a festive feel.
And now to my favorite red summer sneaks. I can’t seem to stop purchasing fun Vans this summer, and Nordstrom has a ton of cool ones. I don’t wear a ton of red, so I love putting it boldy on my feet!
From old skool kicks to fun new finds, this past month I found myself rocking a little of both. This past year, I partnered up with Happy Socks, and let me tell you they will make your feet dance. They have such a fun assortment of socks and underwear that are not only cozy but make a statement when you wear them. I love the retro polka dot feel of the spring collection below, and so I found it fitting to break out my favorite checkered Vans for summer. This skate shoe has been around forever, and is still one of my favorites.
Speaking of throwing it back, the Vans Sk8 hi-low sneaker in all white is also a favorite of mine. They are affordable, cool, and definitely make my look a little more cool. Adidas has also made such a fun comeback with their “originals” this past year, and I haven’t met a color I didn’t like! This taupe gazelle is off the chart. It is the absolute perfect color to go with everything in my wardrobe.
When it comes to new snekaers that have been dropped, the technology continues to grow for sneaker companies, and they are making it harder and harder to chose a pair! I found this new adidas Tubular in pink. They are blending the past with the future by redefining sportswear for the street, taking inspiration from an iconic 93 runner. The Nike City Knife 3 Flyknit Sneaker, actually is a foldable and packable sneaker, and let me tell you for traveling it speaks to me. The colors are so fly as well, I feel like super girl when I wear these.
A little bit of fun design plus all white sneakers were just another added bonus. These new Nike Air Huarache SE remind me of wearing denim on denim. They are trendy and fun, and litearally are also so comfortable. For me, when it comes to brunching, I love mixing a fun long skirt with a preppy pair of white sneakers. These Tretorn for J.Crew do just that. I also will pair them with all my fun Fourth of July looks coming up.

Being raised in an NBA family, I have spent a good part of my life at sporting events. Athleisure wear has become such a big part of what we wear everyday, so it has become much easier to look cute, while still being comfortable at any type of game.
Now that winter has gone, baseball season and summer sporting events are in full swing. Some may dread it, some may not even realize it’s here, and some may adore it, but regardless which category you fall into, you can’t deny going to a live sports game is beyond entertaining. The camaraderie, the cheering and the superstitious game-day-rituals make all sports events exciting. Whether you’re a super fan, or just a spectator, I will make sure you’re dressed and ready to go for any sports game.
Know The Venue
Is this an outdoor stadium, or an indoor stadium? Where are your seats? Knowing ahead of time what the venue looks like and how it is laid out will prepare you for the type of day you will be encountering.
Rain Or Shine
Anytime there is a chance of being outside, you always want to pay attention to the weather. Rain or shine, these large sporting events go on without hesitation. If there is even the slightest chance of rain, don’t assume the game will be cancelled—athletes have been trained to play in the worst conditions, so be ready to go no matter what.
Rain and Night Games
Layers for warmth
Sweatshirt with a hood
Rain poncho (no umbrellas; they block the view of your neighbors)
Rain boots (if necessary)
Lightweight jacket or long sleeve (perhaps something you can tie around your waist)
Hat to shield your face
Go The Distance
Let’s not sugar coat it, the duration of the day will be long, especially after going up and down those steep stairs for hot dogs. Wearing extra comfortable shoes is more than a necessity for any game day activity so stick with shoes with rubber soles like trainers, or even a shoe with a small wedge heel to make sure your feet are not going to give out on you half way through the day.
Know The Team Colors
If you are a fan, support your team by wearing team colors! It may seem silly, but it’s part of the fun to give in to sports traditions. If you feel strange walking through the grocery store before hand with paint on your face, we promise you’ll feel right at home as soon as you get in that stadium. In fact, you may even feel left out by NOT wearing the team colors. Also, knowing the opposing teams colors is a good idea too, because nothing is more awkward then accidentally choosing an all orange ensemble at a Los Angeles Dodgers home game versus The San Francisco Giants.
Small Bags Are Best
Choosing a bag that is small and requires no hands is your best bet, because you’ll want to stay mobile and not worry about finding a place to set it down. Who knows how many drinks are spilled at a game, and we don’t want your bag getting soaked with soda and mustard from being smashed on the floor by your feet. Also, the NFL now has a clear bag policy, so make sure to keep up to date on rules and regulations.
Getting the chance to attend a sporting event is a real experience from the beginning. From the pre-game grill sessions, to the screaming fans, to the little kids dancing in the stands, to the “kiss-cam” on the big screen, you’ll find there is plenty to take in besides just the game. So put on your best game-face and get rowdy with the professionals!
Well, the weather is finally turning and the heat is rising here in NYC. I am lusting after a trip to the beach, and it looks like June may be the time to head back to Cali for a visit. One of my favorite t-shirt lines is Sundry Clothing. They always have the cutest tees that scream happiness on them. When I found this one, I immediately knew I needed to buy it. I love the ringer collar, as it certainly gives it a great 70’s vibe.
Not only that, but these jeans from 7 for all Mankind are kind of off the charts. I am super into anything high-waisted this season, and the slits at the leg are fun and definitely set them apart from any pair that I have. If you are looking for something different this season, these are certainly it. I simply paired them with my favorite Vans sneakers for a full Cali look.
I usually don’t wear a ton of red, but when I find it in an accessory I certainly will go for it. This cross body bag from Topshop is affordable and the perfect pop of color this outfit needed. The size is great too, it is just big enough to hold everything I need for a night out. I am also into layering as many bangles and bracelets as I can these days. A simple rule of thumb, more is better, and you can mix them anyway that you like.
There is no shortage of great denim for Spring, and some of my favorite jeans are below! Make sure you add a white pair this season!
