As the NFL season winds down, there’s no question that there is a new breed of fashionable men in town. No one missed the runway walk of quarterback Cam Newton, or the burgundy leather suit that Antonio Brown wore off the plane. The NBA is still snagging most of the spotlight, but this league is quickly boasting its own crop of trendsetters. Players are showcasing their off-field style, dressed up in sleek suits for pre-game arrivals and trips to the post-game podium. Not only are they also becoming entertainers to watch, they are also snagging covers and advertising campaigns along the way. Some of my favorite looks of this past season are below, and I cannot wait to see what everyone is wearing at Super Bowl tomorrow in Minneapolis. Think lots of cool outerwear!
Let’s be real, the Super Bowl is more then just a game, it should for a national holiday. As soon as the conference championships are done, the lead up to the actual game is full of excitement and filled with events. Whether you’re a diehard Pats fan, or simply kicking it with your friends, I have four looks that certainly will have you covered for any viewing party! My favorite team isn’t in the Super Bowl, but that doesn’t mean I won’t be joining in on all of the fun watching two phenomenal teams.
Right now, I am loving oversize varsity jackets, and this emerald green from H & M is such a stunning color. It is perfect to go to a fun party some friends are throwing. I kicked it up notch with some gold flair in my favorite at New Balance sneakers.
For the Diehard Fan
This season, I have been a huge fan of the Levi’s X NFL collection. This denim jacket is super cool and can be worn all year. Pair it with a fun pom pom beanie for a little extra punch!
What a perfect year to find cool gear for the game. Even if you are not a big sports fan, you will be super on trend and still feel like a fan with this cool varsity jacket. Add some boots instead of sneakers, and a fun sporty belt bag and you are set.
If your day is planned around your own need to stay fit, don’t be shy and grab your favorite team’s ball cap to run around town in. I love finding leggings or a top with some punch, and you can challenge yourself against those athletes with your own Apple watch.
Sometimes we just need to take a break, and throw our own cozy party, where we can eat nachos, sip cocoa, and relax while watching the game. What better way to do this then to curl up in some warm and cozy socks and a comfy NFL blanket.
As the NFL season winds down, there’s no question that there is a new breed of fashionable men in town. No one missed the runway walk of quarterback Cam Newton in zebra print Versace pants this week, making his mark as a fashionista. On the flip side, Peyton Manning showed up sleek and suited in Zegna. One of the biggest days of the year is here, and what better way to celebrate then to show your team spirit. This year not only has the NFL rolled out all kinds of fun gear, but major chains such as Levi’s and Nike have their own Super Bowl 50 collections.
Whether you are cheering on Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers, or Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos, make sure to wear your team colors. If you are a fashionista and NFL fan in general like myself, then fear not because GOLD is the color for this year’s 50th anniversary.
