Rocker Vibes thanks to Made Worn

One thing that I love to do is mix up a look with all kinds of different prints and patterns. This past year, I have been digging the new Los Angeles based line Made Worn.  Their pieces all have a vintage feel to them, and I have literally purchased several of their rocker tees. When it comes to a rocker vibe, it is easy to mix it up with a lot of cool patterns. I always think step outside of the box, and wear what makes you feel cool as if you were with the band.

Not only am I all about the fun patches on this sweatshirt, that is a big trend right now in fashion, but this cute and simple bag from Topshop is under $40. I live in cross body bags, especially when I am going to a concert or running around town. This one is so fun, and the leopard print can add an edge and go with practically anything. That is the thing about a pattern purse, it can stand alone or be mixed in with a look like this.

I don’t always wear short skirts, but this J.Crew one is fun and the color is perfect for spring. I love to mix a more girly piece like this with a sweatshirt to make it more my style. That is a fun way to make a look edgy and more comfortable. I also am digging any type of fun earring this season, and tassels are a big trend as well. These, from J.Crew, are the perfect color for me. Not only will I wear them with a look like above, but they are perfect for a cocktail dress as well.

I mean how fun are these kicks from Dirty Laundry by Chinese Laundry? If I was going to go for it, I knew I needed something fun like these. They scream summer to me, and I want to wear them with simple white jeans and a tee as well. This line has all kinds of fun and unique pairs, and certainly they will be going to Cali with me.

Style Guide, Your Style

Black and White and full of life!

Well if they say April showers bring May flowers I will take it. It has been slightly rainy for the past few days, and that makes me wishing even more for sunny skies and lighter clothing. My winter boots have taken more of a beating this season between the snow, slush, and rain, and to be honest I am ready to let them retire.

Black and white straw hats and bandanas

This past shoot, we decided to play with the mood and do some cool shots in black and white and color. The denim look was perfect for this, and every once in awhile it is fun to be creative and shoot a bit differently. Every season I purchase the same straw hat from J.Crew because it goes with everything from the beach to a night out. Like I said before, I am switching up some of those chokers for bandanas to add some new life into my accessories as well. I love this simple one from Nordstrom.

Playful Black and white outfit

The whole look is playful and fun, and definitely screams warmer weather and spring time. There are all kinds of concerts in the park, brunches, and happy hours that inspired this look for me. I simply paired a white tank top from Madwell this time around, but a fun concert tee could edge it up even more.

Crop denim jacket

If you buy one simple jacket for Spring/Summer, make it denim like this cool crop from J.Crew. I have three different styles, but I am loving that this is a lighter wash than I am used to. What is great about a piece like this, you can pair it with almost anything in your wardrobe. White pants are a must for me as well. I have several great simple pairs, so I decided to find a fun eyelet pair like these from Wayf. Depending on your body type you can find a great high-waisted pair or go for a clean white denim.

Oxfords and loafer style shoes are a must this season. I am digging anything metallic and this pair from Topshop are under $100! They look expensive and are super comfortable. I am totally ready to ditch my boots for this slides to hit the town running.
