One of the things that I love about summer is you can wear a fun casual tee, and cool slides. When Fenty X Puma by Rihanna launched, she took sneakers to a fun new level. This summer her collection includes these dope clear slides, that not only are super comfortable but are very fashion forward. Head over to Puma to check out her entire collection.
There is something to be said about a lightweight pant in the summer, especially one with a good drawstring pant. It is hot here in the city and these are absolutely perfect for the season. I also will be traveling a lot in them, as they are super comfortable. Current Elliott has long been one of my favorite lines, and they just keep getting better and better.
How cute is this tee from Saks Fifth Avenue from the new line Banner Day. I love a fun statement tee, and this is the perfect little happy hour tee don’t you think? For the night I will just throw on my basic jean jacket if the weather turns a bit chilly.
Once again, I found the perfect little clutch for under $50 dollars at Topshop. I love a pop of color to add some fun to an outfit. I also found this cool set of stacker rings there, and they will be perfect to layer with all of my jewelry this summer including this watch from Macy’s.
The slides up close are no joke! How fun and cool are these? I will be wearing them around the city, to the beach, and even out at night with a hip dress!
I am not going to lie, I have always been a fan of a great vintage rock tee. I casually live in them all summer long because they are easy and fun. Mixing and matching them for day to night is super easy. I have been obsessed with Madeworn, an L.A. based line that has been killing the game. Their pieces all feel worn in, and I will be rocking this Blondie tee with my denim shorts in the day, and then with cool pants at night.
OBSESSED with these high-waisted pants from DVF. I had a pair several years ago that I wore into the ground, and the moment I spied these at Saks Fifth Avenue, they were in my shopping bag. What I love about a high-waisted pant, especially in the summer is that you can really show off your waist by tucking tanks and tees into them. The color of these is amazing, so different then most you will find, and also adds a vintage feel to them. The material is easy and breezy, so they will be perfect for summer nights.
Two of my favorite accessory designers are Rebecca Minkoff and Kendra Scott, both available at Nordstrom. I love a big and bold cuff in the summer, and this one from Kendra Scott is available in gold, silver, and rose gold. So it pretty much goes with any and everything. What makes it a good investment piece, is can be edgy with a look like this, or timeless for a more dressy affair.
The must have summer color. I don’t even know how to describe the color of these adidas Gazelles. They are almost like a smoky grey, and let me say they go with everything. I own so many all white and colorful ones, that these are a bit different then the usual. Make sure to pick up any of the Gazelle’s this summer, as they are on a big comeback tour!
Well, what can I say, is it time to pack up my winter coat and get ready for Spring? The weather has been gorgeous this last week, and it has me lusting for all things fashion. When the sun comes out here in the city, the energy becomes even more alive. There is nothing better then sitting at an outdoor patio working and watching people go by, or hitting a rooftop deck for happy hour cocktails.
On my hit list for the season is a denim jumpsuit. They are one of those items that are not only playful, but they can easily be worn several different ways. This fun striped piece from 7 For All Mankind is just my style. Not only can it be worn on its own, but it looks just as cute layered with a shirt underneath. For the evening, a fun varsity jacket and heels can give it even more attitude.
One of my favorite trends that has carried over from last season is the off the shoulder top. I found this adorable white one at H & M. Not only will I be wearing it with this jumpsuit, but paired with simple jeans and some sneakers, it still has a great sex appeal to it. Don’t forget to pick up a fun hat this season as well. From baseball caps to straw fedoras, this accessory always adds a little punch to any look.
When it comes to shoes, we all know that I love a good sneaker, but a fun trend I am totally digging is the work boot. Yes, the timberland style is back and it is easy to work right into your wardrobe. It looks just perfect with this look and adds a bit of edge when mixed with the feminine blouse and jumper. I would also wear them with my long maxi skirts and blouses as well during the day to mix things up. Also, a simple handbag is all the rage right now. This one from J.Crew has been on my rotation because it isn’t too big to carry around the city.
