Everyday, Game Day

FITS with the Golden State Warriors!

I had the pleasure of speaking to Jordan Bell and Patrick Mccaw of the Golden State Warriors about their fashion. The environment was casual after a practice, and chatting with both of these athletes about their personal style was so much fun. As the year progresses, we are seeing more veteran athletes really step up their game in the fashion world, and these young players are not far behind. I watched Jordan Bell as force with the Oregon Ducks, and this is his Rookie year in the NBA.

Good Counsel suit

We started off talking about this incredible suit from The Good Counsel, which is a men’s luxury, Big and Tall e-commerce destination. This company has suited up many athletes, and is perfect for a game when you need to be dressy. That being said, casual vibes are being seen just as much from these players, and Jordan has been seen in some really cool pieces from the clothing brand Regi Phenom.

Regi Phenom sweater

This line based in Los Angeles, was created for tall and athletic body types, I love the cool structure and lines of this sweater that Jordan wore. When we talked about NBA All-Star in Los Angeles, he said we may see something new and custom made from this line. Which, of course I cannot wait for. Off the court, when it comes to casual, we have to talk about the sneakers. Jordan is a Nike athlete, and his FAVORITES are the Nike Air Foamposites.

Jordan Bell Golden State Warriors

When It comes to his on court shoe, Jordan usually wears the Kevin Durant’s to play in. This leads to the question of traveling and being a Rookie. The schedule is crazy, and packing is not easy. Jordan told me he is not great at packing, but is getting better as the year goes on. What does he have to have when he travels? His stereo system that he can listen too while he is getting ready at the hotel. Make sure to follow him @1jordanbell to see his “fit” at NBA All-Star!

Patrick Mccaw

I first met Patrick Mccaw at NBA Summer League while playing TopGolf and talking kicks. He went to UNLV and was a Running Rebel, so the two of us have a lot in common. Not only is he fun and casual in his fashion, he may be one of the nicest guys in the league! Pat is only in his second year here in the league, and he already has a championship ring with the Golden State Warriors team.

Penny Hardaway Tee

He says, that as a young player in the league he would rather be more casual then dressy. His travel routine is on the fly, as he usually packs the day of to hit the road. A GSW warm-up and some cool kicks are easy, but his favorite line that you will see him in often is Thrasher. When it comes to the kicks, Pat wears a ton of Jordan’s. I love the casual photo above with his Penny Hardaway throwback tee and jeans. Growing up, this was his favorite player, and he continues to aspire to his game style. What does Pat have to take with him on the road? His video games. Right now he is playing a lot of Call of Duty, which I challenged him on with my next trip to San Francisco!

Patrick on court

Jordan kicks

On the court Pat likes to mix up his shoes. He wears a mix from the Kobe’s, to Paul George, and Kyrie’s. Most of them are inspired by the Golden State Warriors colors like these Nike Kobe AD Mid shoes against the Toronto Raptors in January. Make sure you follow @pmccaw0 to keep up with his cool kicks collection!

Sneakers, Trends

Winter Pastels on Fleek!

Yes it is the winter, and yes I am on a pastel sneaker kick right now! This time last year, I was buried under the snow in NYC wearing my snow boots and rain boots all over the city. I do admit, we have had our fair share of winter days in Cali, but really, we can usually wear sneakers year around. To switch it up, I love to find fun and girly athleisure pieces, and right now we are seeing a big trend of pastel sneakers. This I am totally okay with, that small pop of mint or pink makes me smile, and pulling a whole look together just feels happy at this time of the year.

Pastel Air Max kicks

First things first, these Nike Air Max 95 LX kicks are just really dope. I found them at the NIKE X Nordstrom pop up, and they are quickly becoming one of my new favorite sneakers yet. You know that you have found a gem when you get stopped on the street frequently with these on. My birthday is coming up, and I am contemplating wearing them out dancing! Thoughts? As we all know, throwing on a baseball hat is easy for me, and this two tone denim number from Nordstrom feels so 90’s to me.

Sloppy Sweatshirt

I have kind of been living in sweatshirts because this cool girl trend makes me feel like it is totally okay. Whether it be from adidas or Nike with a logo, or just easy and plain like this piece from Topshop they are fully on trend. Again, in the spring it will be perfect with my denim shorts and these same kicks.

Nike joggers

I am quickly becoming a big fan of changing my leggings from plain jane to having logos or a fun print all over them. These Nike joggers from Macy’s are not only super comfortable, but are kinda just perfect for lounging around the house at night as well. For errands, we know I cannot deal with a big bag half of the time, and this cute and simple gold purse from Nordstrom is under $30 and looks just as great with a little black dress.

Now go out and find a pair of pastel kicks that you love, my recommendations are below!

Comfy Athleisure Vibes

Well 2018 is off to a big start, and the athleisure trend is nowhere near going away. For me, the comeback of lines such as adidas originals, Fila, and Champion have taken this to an even more cool girl level. I love the idea of pairing an edgy winter coat with some throwback track pants and cool kicks.

Winter coat from Guess

This coat from Guess is one of my favorites that I have purchased all year. It is not only on sale now, but you can take the pink fur on and off, which makes it playful and fun or super simple and clean. I love the faux fur mixed with olive green. I also like wearing it with my track pants from adidas for an edgy athleisure look.

athleisure pull apart track pants

The pull apart track pant is hot for 2018 and you can wear it all year long. Both adidas and Nike have some fun pairs. These are so unique as the white adidas stripe is a show off, and you can mix them up with so many different color ways. For winter I will be wearing them with my coats, but come spring a simple crop tee is perfect with a ball cap.

We all know that any throwback sneakers I can find I want! These rose gold Nike’s I found at their outlet mall on major sale. If you have one in your city, it is a must. They have tons of harder to find pairs. I love that these can be dressed up because of their shine, or paired simply with the track pant. The FORCE logo makes them pop even more. I linked a few pairs that are similar because the metallic trend isn’t going away!

Holidays, Your Style

Staying in Shape During the Holidays!

Well, not going to lie, the holidays are in full swing and my eating habits have already gotten out of control. How is it that we are only in the first week of December? When it comes to this time of year, I actually like to get ahead of the game and try new workouts that keep me focused so I have something to look forward to. I am not one to shy away from indulging, so it is super important for me to stay motivated. NOT only that, workout gear is so fun and trendy right now, that it makes for a fantastic gift for those workout buddies of yours out there. From a cool water bottle to funky leggings, check off your athleisure gift list here!

Mountain puffer vest

One of my favorite pieces in the winter is a “puffer” jacket or vest. I do not know anyone who doesn’t love these in the colder months, and they look just as fab with jeans and a sweater. J.Crew always has fun colors every season, like the one above. Another great gift is a simple hoodie,  that you can wear to run early in the am or jet around town for errands. Zella, from Nordstrom are the perfect price and come in several colors! This grey has thumb holes, which are my favorite!

Mesh Inset Leggings

I am all about funky leggings for the trendsetter out there. These are just oh so cool, and from Nordstrom. They are my go to store along with Athleta for the coolest pieces. If you head to either of these sites now, you can get a great pair for a friend and yourself. New gear always makes you motivated. I actually wore these with a simple sweater for a casual dinner, that is why I love this athleisure trend so much!

If you are looking for the perfect gift, a S’well water bottle is good for anyone. They are cool looking and I take mine everywhere with me. If you are looking for something small, this will not disappoint workout queen out there. Of course, while treating myself, I had to pick up a pair of icy blue Nike Air Max Thea kicks. The color screams winter fun to me, and the whole look is easy and casual. Not to mention if you are in a bind, a gift card to Nike or adidas makes for a great gift as well!

Everyday, Game Day

How do you Athleisure?

I can’t believe that the MLB baseball playoffs are right around the corner. It is officially fall, and where did the time go? The Los Angeles Dodgers are in first place in the National League, and this city is excited! When I say they are good, guys they are great. I don’t follow baseball as closely as I do the NBA and NFL, but I usually get really excited when playoffs roll around. Being in Cali for as long as I have, I would say that my team on the west coast is obviously the Dodgers, so I will for sure be getting to a playoff game for a hot dog and beer!

Baseball hat and sweats

One of the things I love about a good old baseball hat like this one from 47 Brand is that it looks worn in and has a vintage feel to it. When I am running errands around town after a workout, it is so easy to throw on a cap repping your team. I have become obsessed with anything that is oversized this season, and if you are looking for a trendy piece, make sure to find a cool sweatshirt like this one from Rag and Bone I literally throw it on with my yoga leggings and I am stylish for the day. Not to mention, these days I like to carry a small bag that fits my phone and a credit card. How cute is this one from Nordstrom? It is under $50.00 and totally adds some more style to the look.

Zella leggings for Athleisure look

If you haven’t jumped on the legging bandwagon, then it is time to do so. Zella from Nordstrom fits me really well, and they are not too expensive and are on trend. These are such a great color, and the moto style makes it easy to wear them all day without feeling boring.

Adidas kicks

I did encounter a little bit of a shoe problem when it came to this look. I just picked up these adidas kicks, and they really go the distance when it comes to running on the treadmill and doing errands around town. They look just as great with a pair of simple denim jeans and a t-shirt.

I also kind of want to kick up my leggings in these fun Nike kicks. The Nike logo is the cutest baby pink which makes them also so fun. There is a bit of an added girly touch to them, which obviously makes the high top unique!
