Wow, this past week has been a whirlwind. I have been so lucky to team up with Hiptique on a fun project, Sneakerlab, Nice Kicks, and Nike! I feel like I was all over running to events, but through it all, I am realizing how blessed and fun it is to work in a field that I absolutely love. I also got to catch up with shop owner Jeremy Moore of Eighty Five Eighty Six to chat top trends.
The week started shooting a project with Hiptique, and these sequins pants are so fun for fall. If I am not wearing sneakers, the cool girl loafer trend is definitely my style as well. How cute are these from Sam Edelman?
Of course we shot most of the looks in this fun sweatshirt from Sundry and these camo joggers from Cami NYC. I have been living in these, and I simply paired them with my favorite Nike Air Max kicks.
The following day we shot at Eighty Five Eighty Six with Jeremy Moore. He actually got me into this Fila leggings for fall, and I love literally wearing them with the matching crop top and Jordans.
Thursday night and Friday it was all about Nice Kicks x Sneakerlab, and the Vogue x Nice Kicks event.
Both events were so fun, and seeing the Jordan that Anna Wintour did with Vogue was so cool!
How can it be that fall is just around the corner? Football season is already here, the NBA is gearing up for training camp, baseball is in full swing, and yep the weather is beginning to drop. For me, that means new sneakers in fall colors and patterns, cute crop sweatshirts with jeans and shorts, and long sleeve easy t-shirts on camera. I love this sweatshirt from one of my new favorite stores Laced by Southbay. It looks super cute with a cool pair of pants for a night out as well!
I am already feeling the fall colors in kicks, and these Medicine Ball Air Jordan’s and Red Champion sneakers both feel seasonal. I always throw on my Rastaclat bracelets with them to add a little fun punch. Also, how cool is this basketball bag from designer Andrea Bergart? Her designs sell out quick so make sure to keep up with her site to get your own!
We all know that mixing prints is big for me, and these cute pants from Sundry clothing available at Hiptique go perfectly with these super cute Nike Air Max kicks. These are their Beach Camo sneakers, and anything in a camouflage print for this season is huge. Also the high-waisted pant is here to stay, so make sure to try them! When the weather drops more, I will pair this cute Veronica Beard tee with denim jacket.
I have also quickly found a new favorite store in Texas. Their owner is just fabulous, and he gets all the best sneaker drops in, and along with it is creating his own line. Loving this cute long sleeve tee. Nothing is cooler then mixing a bit of neon with a tie dye print. Make sure to head over to Centre 214 for all things streetwear!
I know, it has been awhile since I have thrown up a blog post, and how I miss writing. Things have been so hectic, that I have yet to sit down for any chunks of time. I am so excited to tell you that I am cranking out the YouTube videos the next month, so stay tuned for all kinds of cool content. That being said, my sneaker game is continuing to grow, and right now, there are so many that I am lusting after for summer. Here are my favorites, and the fun ways to pair them!
I am minorly obsessed with middie all white clean kicks. These Nike pair are perfect with just about anything, but I love pairing them with a cool silk pantsuit like this one from Rebecca Taylor available at Hiptique!
When it comes to denim dresses, I love something that is a little bit flirty, like this piece from McGuire available at Nordstrom. When pairing it with shoes for summer, I added a fun touch with some cool camo vans that are always going to be fun all year long.
When it comes to jumpsuits, I live in them all summer as well, and this 1901 khaki piece is super cute and fun with any shoe. I cranked it up a notch with some cool Yeezy black on black 500’s.
These are my first pair, and I hope to continue to collect them each season. Stay tuned, more great sneakers and videos are coming your way, and a reminder to follow me on the Like to Know it App, to shop all of these looks.
Anyone else as excited as me, that the NBA playoffs are here? One of the things that I love about this time of year, is that there is so much fun fan gear, and it can be worn in so many different ways. I came across this Golden State Warriors Jacket available at Fanatics and was instantly in love! They have several teams in this cool snap front vintage style from Starter.
The back of this jacket is just as cool as the front, and to be honest, if I were going to any music festival I would go sporty and wear this. There is something about a simple denim short and tee to make it more stylish and fun.
Not to mention braids are so back in style, and if you want to be super on point, throw some in and take this look up a notch.
We all know that I am going to pair my looks with some cool kicks, and these Jordan’s are my favorite right now. The cool zip makes them even cooler, and they also come in black!
Spring is here, and it is all about the track trouser pant for me. I am all about mixing athleisure trends with unexpected pieces, and this season the track pant has become even more elevated. You are seeing this trend for nights out, and to make it even cooler, pairing it with a crop top and a denim jacket makes it funky and unique. I received this Wrangler jacket this past fall, and I love that it is two tone and cropped. It is the perfect length to go with these high-waisted trousers.
Whether you leave it open or closed, you can pair this piece with a pretty skirt, dress, or even make into a cool denim on denim look. I picked up this bandeau top at a flee market a few years back, but any fun crop that you can find from Topshop to Nordstrom will work!
Not only are these pants dressy, they are fun and loud. They can go with a blouse as well, and definitely a killer heel will make them great for a stand out date night. I wore them with my favorite CK slides from DSW, another big trend. These slides are perfect for after yoga or for a day out.
Some of my other favorite athleisure trends are below, and remember play them up for a night out, and keep them simple for the day!
