What do you get for the sports lover out there? Whether it is a male or a female, I have listed some of my favorite sports gifts that will cover anyone on your list. From the fashionista to the tailgating king, there is something here for everyone. One of my favorite things is supporting up and coming lines. Rastaclat x NBALAB is celebrating the virtues of pride, righteousness, integrity, discovery, and excellence. Rastaclat honors the legacy of professional basketball with the launch of the Rastaclat X NBALAB COLLECTION. The NBA Lab is a research and development incubator aimed at innovative design, imaginative concepts and strategic partnerships. Both The Very Warm and Rastclat are able to partner with the NBA because of this amazing concept.
You know it is that time of the year that we are shop shop shopping for gifts for each of our favorite people out there. What I love about this season is really finding different items for each of the individuals in our lives. If you are like me, you love to be fun and fashionable at sports events that you are either attending or even throwing in your own home. Most women are now sports fans, so why not seek out some different gear then they would normally expect!
Right now, I am all about mixing up a cool vintage tee, like this one from UNK X Topshop to give to any cool girl on the block. You can definitely wear it with a simple pair of jeans, or make it super fun and funky for your fashionable friends. I paired it with a hat, ripped denim, and on trend white booties. Also, vinyl pants are huge right now, so you can even find a fun varsity jacket on sale for a friend in team colors, that then can make fashionable or played down. I love the fun feel above with the white booties. Again, a fanny pack makes for a great gift for anyone fashionable or sporty.

Well here I am with my favorite thing in hand, a basketball. For those of you that ask, I do play and love a good game of hoops or even horse. Right now I feel so lucky to be able to throw down with my dad still on the court. He has taught me a thing or two over the years, and I still watch him during practices as he continues to coach NBA players. That being said, I have grown up in arenas, and it almost feels like a second home. Getting dressed for a game is something I don’t ever think too much about, but many people ask me all the time, and this look is one of my go to outfits.
I love a cool bomber or leather jacket. The Very Warm makes some unbelievable ones, and right now they have just launched an insane collection with the NBA LAB x Barneys New York. It is cold in arenas, so a light jacket is a staple. I like to pair it with a fun tee that is a bit fun or sporty, like this star muscle tee from Sundry. It adds an element to the look. I live in comfy jeans, for me they are easy and on trend.
I don’t always wear team gear to the game. When I do, it is usually a cool vintage tee, jersey, or baseball cap with my teams logo. I am a huge Jordan fan, so I own several kicks and fun apparel. I love this simple black hat, it adds to the outfit and covers up my eyes on those days when I am tired. Also, you can see here, this jacket is reversible making it even more fun for a game.
I almost always wear sneakers to the game, and these throwback retro Nike’s are fun and girly at the same time. They were on my list for awhile, and they add a bit of color and fun to the whole look. Any type of throwback is fun right now, and very on trend. So cheers to a fun season of basketball and more of my favorite outfit ideas!
The NBA is back, and we are definitely seeing a big resurgence in vintage throwback gear. I love this statement because it is fun, and can really be more fashionable a cool. I love wearing team gear to a game, so it is so much more exciting to find pieces that have a unique appeal to them, and work an outfit around that.
This NBA All-Star tee from Mitchell and Ness clearly has me smiling. This brand has a ton of fun retro looking gear that you can find. I attend so many NBA games, that I love to find non team specific gear for some of them. With that being said, the next step is to style it out so it feels more cool girl.
I am completely obsessed with this rocker jacket from Frame Denim. It is oversized and works with almost anything in my wardrobe. Paring it with the tee and my worn in denim makes the look much more on trend and fashionable.
I love a good sneaker for the game, so I just decided to go with my adidas flashback kicks that rounded out the look. One rule of thumb is to find cool sneaker that is in your team colors. That is the perfect way to represent as well!

As the NBA gears up for a new season, the league is in the midst of lots of young players making their own fashion statements against the veterans. This year, the kids will complete the uprising. Leading the charge of course is Russell Westbrook, who graced the cover of the Sports Illustrated fashion issue. Not far behind him are some young stars, like these four pictured above, Jordan Clarkson, D’Angelo Russell, Brandon Ingram, and Julius Randle.
As we know the worlds of fashion and sports are interconnected. From athletes launching fashion lines to celebrities serving as the face of athletic brands, we are seeing endless crossover. Basketball stars know how to get our attention! Aside from them being superstars in the game, they captivate us with their swag from game to game. From statement making suits, to signature sneaks, they are leading the trends on fashion conversation. As the two worlds collide, the NBA season becomes its own runway show with more fun fashion then I can take. I mean I am already dreaming up who is going to be the best dressed over All-Star weekend here in Los Angeles. Are you ready for the season and the endless fashion excitement?
Here are my fashion favorites below, including some new young talent and those veterans with swag.
