Spring has Sprung!

Well April is here, and we’re fully into Spring! I cannot believe that has happened. SO much has been going on, and I haven’t written a blog in quite awhile, mostly because I have been focusing on my Youtube channel! But drumroll please, it is time to update the blog and what better way then showing off some of my favorite spring looks!

Pam and Gela sporty two piece for spring

We all know that I love to shop at Hiptique. And this two-piece sporty set from Pam and Gela is so completely cool I cannot even. One of my favorite things about this, is that you can pair it with booties, and it makes it look even more cool. These are from DSW, and they are perfect for any budget. One major thing about spring is whether you go flirty, sporty, or feminine, get wild and go for matching sets.

Denim spring romper from Blank NYC

I have also been wearing a ton off of the Lulu’s website, because their pieces are not expensive and totally on trend. I mean who doesn’t love a romper, and especially one that is all denim. Again it can be dressed up for a night out, or paired with an easy belt for a cool and casual look. This one is from Blank NYC, and won’t be the only romper I am sporting this season.

Spring florals from Veronica Beard

Last, it is totally wedding season, am I right? I have always been a huge fan of Veronica Beard, and this floral dress is so pretty, and perfect for a less formal wedding. If you have a fancy one, I have linked many more over at Like to Know it! For me, I don’t wear short as often anymore, so when I found this piece I was so excited to sport it. I added my starry and on trend Gorjana necklace and Chanel handbag.

Kicking it in Venice with Like to Know It!

It has been about six months since I joined the Like to Know it Family, and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the team. They have made shopping so simple for everyone, and with their newest screenshot technology shopping my looks plus thousands of other influencers couldn’t be easier.

Like to know it

Main Street in Venice is one of my favorite places, as it is filled with some of my favorite restaurants and shopping boutiques. When Like to Know it decided to do a fun pop up for their influencers and have a local artist do a fun mural, I had to stop by.

adidas gazelle sneakers

Of course, when I went it was so much fun to meet other women who work for the company and influencers that are also a part of the group. I definitely wanted to wear something that very much fit my personality, and so my favorite adidas gazelle sneakers were a go to.

Madewell tee

I also have been digging Madewell lately, which is J.Crew’s sister company. How cute is this Santa Cruz tee? I love that it has the year I was born on it, and that it really expresses my personality of my Cali roots. I simply threw on my favorite J.Crew bracelets to add some accessories.

J.Crew white denim

Besides my favorite sneakers, I have been living in my white denim from J.Crew. They are perfect with everything in the summer, and usually I put on a simple belt to add to the look. This one is also from J.Crew, but you can find a cool skinny belt anywhere! I couldn’t have had a more fun day with the team! Remember to sign up to Like to Know it, so you can continue to easily shop all of my looks!

Jumping into a Weekend Getaway!

I couldn’t be more excited to get ready for summer, and that means lots of fun jumpsuits, rompers, cool kicks, and shades. This coming weekend I am going to Nantucket for the first time, and for me it feels like the kickoff to summer. When I am traveling, bringing along a fun romper and jumpsuit that can go from day to night is key. This piece from Socialite Clothing available at Nordstrom is absolutely perfect. Not only is it sexy but you can certainly wear it with sandals and hop on a bike into town.

Stripe Overlay rompers

The colors are also fun and nautical, pretty much screaming island fever. I love the way this piece flows in the wind, as it definitely is fitting for a night of dancing around the town.  Not only that, but this time of year I love to pick up fun shades that have some color to them. This pair from Lulus are fun and under $25!

Shades from Lulus

Another rule of thumb when I travel is to have an easy and fun backpack with me. This B.P. piece from Nordstrom is under $50. Metallic is fun, and it will go with many different pieces of my wardrobe. I bike a ton in the summer, and a backpack evens out the weight. This one is small as well, so it doubles as a cool going out bag. Bandanas are still going strong, so pick one up and wear it in your hair, on your wrist, or as a choker!

Yes, I know not everyone is into the adidas slides for summer, as they are harder to pull off. You can easily pair this romper with a cute summer sandal, and if you are wanting to take a risk pair them with something dressier. These are super casual, so they definitely will be mixed into my am coffee runs with sweats.

If you buy a fun piece this summer, make it a jumpsuit or a romper that can go from day to night. Some of my other favorites are below!

Springing into Outdoor Workouts!

This past winter both New York and Milwaukee have definitely been a bit more challenging for me. In the past, California has always provided me with daily beach runs and hikes, even fun outdoor yoga classes. Moving to the city in January, I have been doing most of my classes and training at Equinox. Of course, this isn’t a terrible thing, as they have an insanely nice gym full of great classes, and when I have it in me, I love to take a Soul Cycle class.

Gear for outdoor workouts

Now that the weather is changing the excuse to do workouts and yoga classes outside is happening again. Living in Tribeca, I am extremely lucky enough to be on the West Side Highway, where you can run all the way up to Central Park if you so choose. Also Chelsea Piers is right there, and I just may take a trapeze class this summer. Besides that, it is now Citi bike time, and renting these to cruise the city will get my fix from my beach cruisers sitting in Marina Del Rey.

Adidas backpack

One of the things that I have been into these days, is a good back back. We don’t realize this, but carrying a tote with yoga gear, extra clothes, and water bottles, can be hard on our bodies. When you are able to even out the weight, especially when walking to a class or riding a bike, it is so much better for you. I love this new one I just picked up from adidas. It is really cool looking, and holds enough in several pockets to get me through the day.

Workouts in color

On top of that, Spring screams color for me, and purple leggings and shoes are a showstopper. These Nike kicks are completely comfortable and I can cross train in them, as well as pair them with jeans and a t-shirt. I love these Zella pants from Nordstrom  because they are high-waisted. When I am doing yoga, I hate to fuss with my pants,  and you can pair a cute crop top with them.

Zella jacket

I am totally obsessed with this Zella jacket and adidas top also from Nordstrom because they can be used for workouts and for a look for the day. The crop top is going to be perfect with my denim skirt and booties, and this windbreaker is pretty cool on its own with my floral denim pants.

Saturday’s in Tribeca!

One of my favorite things about New York, is all of the amazing neighborhoods. Living in Tribeca feels like this quiet pocket where every street has something new and fun to discover. Some of the best boutiques and restaurants are right here, and just across the way from me is one of the best coffee shops in town, Laughing Man. It is a local spot, and every Saturday I find myself spending time there working and people watching.

Boho maxi top

For spring one of my favorite trends are boho inspired maxi tops. This piece from Lulus is perfect for layering when the nights tend to get a little bit chilly. I love the embroidery on the back, as it just adds a cool factor to it.

Rocker tee

Also, festival season is coming up quick, and mixing prints and edgy rocker tees is one of my favorite looks. Right now, you are seeing all kinds of fun t-shirts with cut outs, graphics, and their own distressed feel. This one from Topshop is not only fun but under $25.00. I paired it with a leopard print skirt from Joie to add a little flair.

Embroidered ankle boots

I love to wear ankle boots all year long, especially in the spring with skirts and dresses. Again, when it comes to on trend shoes, you are going to see a lot of embroidery, and graphics this year. A big trend is stars, and this pair from Lulus are perfect for my style. They are still simple, yet will make a statement with almost any look.

Eclectic style bag

This whole look has its own mix master feel to it, and when done right, you can put almost any prints together, especially when you are going for a rock star look. Adding this eclectic style bag from Steve Madden just felt right to bring the whole look together. Not only that, you can wear it cross body which is great for walking around concerts and the city!
