Anyone else super excited that it is already Memorial Day? I mean where does the time go? One of my favorite brands to wear in the summer is L Space Swim. Their pieces are all available at Hiptique, and needless to say, they are my absolute favorite. For so long, two piece swim was trending, but the one piece is back and better then ever. I love swimwear that has a little sex appeal, and the side of this bright orange one piece is fantastic. It reveals just enough, but you can still run around and play beach volleyball!
When it comes to layering, a simple hoodie and some denim shorts are great for me. After a beach day, I love to throw on my shades and some denim to go straight to get a quick bite near the beach. Layer some cool bracelets to add a touch of flair.
Once again, I am all for a good side and back, and this suit has both. Not to mention the lettering on the front is pretty cute. You can certainly wear this suit out at night with some jeans and a cool bootie!
Of couse I like to pair my favorite swim with some Kicks, and these from The Greats Brand are fab. Their store on Abbot Kinney is divine, and lets be honest. Who does not like a baby blue patent leather sneaker for the summer?
So it is that time of the year when I have several brunches, showers, and dressier events that are coming up. I love to keep it casual cool, with pieces that can go either way. When you invest in a few key pieces, you certainly can mix and match them throughout the season. I fell in love with these pants from Hiptique by the label CAMI. If there ever were a pant that screamed my name, these would be it. They are high-waisted, feel like butter, and can be paired for a night out or a casual day with a sweater and kicks.
This label also makes a killer silk bodysuit, which are my new go to. This whole looks is perfect for a dressy event, and pairing a cool bandana scarf with it makes it even more on trend. What I love about this top, is it looks just as cool with distressed denim and a trendy belt.
These white boots were made for walking, and dancing. I cannot believe that I never thought I could pull these off, and have worn them more then any other boot in my closet! It is not too late to invest, and this pair from Jessica Simpson, available at Nordstrom are going to be just as killer with some shorts this season.
I am in love with little two piece numbers that go together as a dressier piece, and can be super casual on their own. Lisa Marie Fernandez makes some killer bathing suits, and her new line of clothing is just as cool. Definitely invest in an off the shoulder top this season, and pair it with denim and skirts like I did here. I also will be paring that bodysuit above with this skirt and either kicks or some cool heels.
I love any type of woven bag for spring/summer. This piece from L Space Swim available at Hiptique as well, is the perfect size. I take it out to brunches, to the beach, and also while shopping the local farmers market. It is definitely vacation approved as well! Cheers to spring and the time of year when I really feel like you can take so many key pieces through the summer and mix them up however you choose.
I couldn’t be more excited to let you all know that my favorite store Hiptique has opened up a beautiful space in Malibu. This space is a true lifestyle boutique with clothing, intimates, swim, jewelry, giftables and home decor in Santa Monica and Malibu, California. All of the decor and clothing is curated and chosen carefully for women who live, work & play at the beach. I was lucky enough to meet their wonderful owner a few years back, and she and I have built a solid friendship on fashion and sports. As a blogger, I love pulling pieces from her store all year around, as it has my vibes all over it.
This year, you will see a lot of great new lines as she launches on-line, and I will be wearing a ton of it. This past week I had family in town and we spent a ton of time at the beach, so I made sure to head over for a new swimsuit. Of course the boutique is stocked with two of my favorite swim labels, Boys and Arrows and L Space. I have been loving one piece swim this year, when I saw this cute owl print with the amazing halter back I had to have it.
Denim shorts are my go to all summer, and his fun pair has a little detailing to set them apart. Mcguire denim makes the best jeans, and now I am a huge fan of their shorts as well.
When it comes to bags, a fun straw bag like this one from Misa is totally great for the beach and travel. They always are on trend, and they can carry a ton. I added their cute pompom details for some added fun to the look. Some simple shades and Haviana sandals from Nordstrom completed my look.
Check out the fun store shots below, and make your way over to Hiptique.
