Well, not going to lie, the holidays are in full swing and my eating habits have already gotten out of control. How is it that we are only in the first week of December? When it comes to this time of year, I actually like to get ahead of the game and try new workouts that keep me focused so I have something to look forward to. I am not one to shy away from indulging, so it is super important for me to stay motivated. NOT only that, workout gear is so fun and trendy right now, that it makes for a fantastic gift for those workout buddies of yours out there. From a cool water bottle to funky leggings, check off your athleisure gift list here!
One of my favorite pieces in the winter is a “puffer” jacket or vest. I do not know anyone who doesn’t love these in the colder months, and they look just as fab with jeans and a sweater. J.Crew always has fun colors every season, like the one above. Another great gift is a simple hoodie, that you can wear to run early in the am or jet around town for errands. Zella, from Nordstrom are the perfect price and come in several colors! This grey has thumb holes, which are my favorite!
I am all about funky leggings for the trendsetter out there. These are just oh so cool, and from Nordstrom. They are my go to store along with Athleta for the coolest pieces. If you head to either of these sites now, you can get a great pair for a friend and yourself. New gear always makes you motivated. I actually wore these with a simple sweater for a casual dinner, that is why I love this athleisure trend so much!
If you are looking for the perfect gift, a S’well water bottle is good for anyone. They are cool looking and I take mine everywhere with me. If you are looking for something small, this will not disappoint workout queen out there. Of course, while treating myself, I had to pick up a pair of icy blue Nike Air Max Thea kicks. The color screams winter fun to me, and the whole look is easy and casual. Not to mention if you are in a bind, a gift card to Nike or adidas makes for a great gift as well!
It has been about six months since I joined the Like to Know it Family, and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the team. They have made shopping so simple for everyone, and with their newest screenshot technology shopping my looks plus thousands of other influencers couldn’t be easier.
Main Street in Venice is one of my favorite places, as it is filled with some of my favorite restaurants and shopping boutiques. When Like to Know it decided to do a fun pop up for their influencers and have a local artist do a fun mural, I had to stop by.
Of course, when I went it was so much fun to meet other women who work for the company and influencers that are also a part of the group. I definitely wanted to wear something that very much fit my personality, and so my favorite adidas gazelle sneakers were a go to.
I also have been digging Madewell lately, which is J.Crew’s sister company. How cute is this Santa Cruz tee? I love that it has the year I was born on it, and that it really expresses my personality of my Cali roots. I simply threw on my favorite J.Crew bracelets to add some accessories.
Besides my favorite sneakers, I have been living in my white denim from J.Crew. They are perfect with everything in the summer, and usually I put on a simple belt to add to the look. This one is also from J.Crew, but you can find a cool skinny belt anywhere! I couldn’t have had a more fun day with the team! Remember to sign up to Like to Know it, so you can continue to easily shop all of my looks!
It is that time of year again, and the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is about to begin. I have to say it is one of the best times of year for me. They have so many great pieces always, and usually I want them all. If you are a card holder you can already shop this event, but for the general population the sale starts on the 20th and you can get all kinds of amazing pre-fall pieces.
One of my favorite lines is Free People, and this cute dress is perfect for the summer in Los Angeles. Come Fall, I will pair it with my favorite booties. Their pieces all have a fun boho feel to them, which is totally up my alley.
I love pairing a fun dress with a clutch that is fun for summer. This one is available from Pixels. You can make your own on this site, and it is so much fun. Also, I layered bracelets for a fun twist. You can get all of these for under $25 each at Nordstrom.
I am totally obsessed with tassel earrings right now, and you can check out all of the fun ones that J.Crew has to offer. These are loud and colorful, which makes it more fun. When it comes to summer, I love to mix and match tons of colors for a festive feel.
And now to my favorite red summer sneaks. I can’t seem to stop purchasing fun Vans this summer, and Nordstrom has a ton of cool ones. I don’t wear a ton of red, so I love putting it boldy on my feet!
Well summer is here, and it is time to pack up and hit the road for some much needed vacation time. When it comes to packing, I am the first to say that I usually over pack, and wear hardly half of what’s in my suitcase. This past year, in traveling as much as I have, learning to cut back has been a must. Some of my best advice is to plan out outfits that can be mixed and matched. This way you keep your suitcase light (especially so you can purchase a few things)!
One piece that is a really great buy is a white denim jacket. It goes with everything and can be dressed up or down. This one from J.Crew is just perfect. I can wear it on the plane, to dinner with a dress, and all throughout the trip layered over just about anything. Here I paired it with these totally fun and cute pineapple pants also from J.Crew. Again, my rule is to bring a light weight pant that is fun and colorful. I will wear these on the plane, to shop in the day, and even to throw on for a dinner at night with heels and a tank.
Denim for days all ways around. How cute is this top from J.Crew as well? I love that it is denim, and has a cute little tie at the waist. It’s layered under my denim jacket for the day, and I’ll pair it in the evening with some flat sandals and a long maxi skirt to dress it up. I simply added a super fun rattan purse with pom pom details. I mean, this screams vacay, and is spot on trend wise.
Hello color! I am loving this off the shoulder top. Again, it can be paired with jean shorts, which are a must for me. These work all day everyday with almost everything. A fun top like this can work for a night out played up with accessories. It can also be paired down as I did here for a day of shopping the streets.
Well, it wouldn’t be vacation without the shoes. My goal is one pair for the plane, like these cool Vans that can be worn during the trip. Usually I bring a second fun pair of walking shoes, and my favorites for these colorful looks are a simple Superga from Nordstrom. I usually also pack a good wedge heel for the night and a simple flat that can go with everything. If I am going to be working out, I will switch out one pair of day sneakers for my running shoes!
From old skool kicks to fun new finds, this past month I found myself rocking a little of both. This past year, I partnered up with Happy Socks, and let me tell you they will make your feet dance. They have such a fun assortment of socks and underwear that are not only cozy but make a statement when you wear them. I love the retro polka dot feel of the spring collection below, and so I found it fitting to break out my favorite checkered Vans for summer. This skate shoe has been around forever, and is still one of my favorites.
Speaking of throwing it back, the Vans Sk8 hi-low sneaker in all white is also a favorite of mine. They are affordable, cool, and definitely make my look a little more cool. Adidas has also made such a fun comeback with their “originals” this past year, and I haven’t met a color I didn’t like! This taupe gazelle is off the chart. It is the absolute perfect color to go with everything in my wardrobe.
When it comes to new snekaers that have been dropped, the technology continues to grow for sneaker companies, and they are making it harder and harder to chose a pair! I found this new adidas Tubular in pink. They are blending the past with the future by redefining sportswear for the street, taking inspiration from an iconic 93 runner. The Nike City Knife 3 Flyknit Sneaker, actually is a foldable and packable sneaker, and let me tell you for traveling it speaks to me. The colors are so fly as well, I feel like super girl when I wear these.
A little bit of fun design plus all white sneakers were just another added bonus. These new Nike Air Huarache SE remind me of wearing denim on denim. They are trendy and fun, and litearally are also so comfortable. For me, when it comes to brunching, I love mixing a fun long skirt with a preppy pair of white sneakers. These Tretorn for J.Crew do just that. I also will pair them with all my fun Fourth of July looks coming up.
