Well, I am not exactly happy that it is Monday again, but there are so many fun things coming up in the next few weeks, that I feel like it is going to fly by. I am gearing up for three different fun styling jobs here in Los Angeles, filming for my new You Tube channel, and writing an article for Who What Wear! I love all the different plates that I am juggling as it for sure keeps me on my toes. One of the things that I am focused on is keeping in shape and making sure that I am getting in my workouts during these next few weeks. It always keeps me focused and feeling good. My favorite thing to do is just get out and run, but lately I have been doing some fun dance classes too!
If I am taking a class, I love to bring a simple cross body bag like this one from Brass Plum at Nordstrom. You can throw keys, a credit card, and your phone and that is all you need. I also love this cute pull over from Puma. It is also from Nordstrom, and it has just the amount of style that you need to keep it on all day and run around town.
In the fall, I like to mix things up and put on a cute pastel shoe, like these adidas gazelles. It switches things up, and they are certainly girly, but are fun mixed with everything from workout pants to a cute dress. I love mixing brown and olive greens with pinks.
As we know, I am a massively huge fan of all things camo! These yoga tights from Onzie are one of my favorite pair. Again, not only are they hot in the gym, but they transition right into everyday athleisure life. Also, love this mix of the feminine and masculine!
We all know that street style has become a massive part of our culture, and looking comfortable yet cool can sometimes be difficult. Celebrity street style has become its own red carpet, and some of the most authentic and best dressed fashion comes straight from the tarmac. As you pack up and head out, you want to look effortless, comfy, and chic.
I am always chilly on the airplane, so wearing an on trend coat like this camel colored trench from Topshop is easy. Not only is it a gorgeous piece for the weekend ahead, but it will keep me warm on the plane and moves easily.
Never under estimate the power of a cool ball cap. This one from H&M is totally on trend for the Spring, and mixed with my favorite sporty watch from Adidas I will always be on time. Lets be real, my cell phone dies all the time when I travel, and I like to have on a watch to be safe.
Comfortable yet trendy athleisure is my go to for the plane. I love these Adidas Gazelles and track pants paired with a simple yet cool sweatshirt. If the plane gets toasty and I put my coat up, I can move easily and feel cool and hip. Traveling in sneakers that are trendy is key. When you have to run to catch a connection, you will be happy to be thankful.
Last, some of my favorite carry on items are below. Just before landing I like to make sure I get off the plane feeling refreshed and glowing. These products that I store in my favorite Herschel carrying case are perfect.
For those that know me well, I practically live in maxi skirts and dresses all year long. Don’t get me wrong, I still wear my favorite heels, but usually I like to give it my own spin with a great pair of sneakers. This blue skirt from Alice and Olivia may be one of the best I have found in years. The color is gorgeous and the pleats are perfection.
I live in vintage rock tees all the time. In the winter, I love to pair them under a jacket, and pairing it with the unexpected makes if more fun. I came across Madeworn this past week. It is a brand started by the creator of Junk Food Clothing, Blaine Halvorson, who has taken vintage and music apparel to a luxury level.
Being in New York City, I have certainly fallen in love. One of my favorite denim lines The Rails had me marching to my own beat in this Knox jacket. I mean how cute is the New York logo on the back?
Even better, you can customize your own, which I just did with my name on the back. Check it out below.
Last but certainly not least, is the the adidas Gazelle. This shoe has been around since I can remember, and my first pair were back in the seventh grade. I had a pair of navy blue ones that I wore into the ground. They recently have had a revival, and right away I went out to get a basic pair of black that go with everything. One style tip, is to never be shy of mixing things up. A maxi skirt is more unique with a cool pair of sneakers and a vintage rock tee!
