Amy Purdy has been working over the past few years as an advocate for Element Eden. We first met when she was on Dancing with the Stars at a People Magazine shoot. We became fast friends and built a creative relationship together working on several projects, one being her line with Element Eden.
This line is a perfect mix of Amy’s life, functional fashion for an inspired life. The pieces all have a unique element to them, and can easily transition from a work-out to going out. The colors are full of life, and the first collection is not only perfect for the woman on the go, but is budget friendly.

January is one of those months where many of us are on a serious budget. If you are like me, I love a good bargain, especially when it comes to fitness gear. Most retailers have jumped headfirst into the sportswear market and have certainly kept trend focused.
With many of us trying to stay in shape for the new year, what better way then to grab some new duds that are fun, trendy, and budget friendly.
One of my favorite things about the New Year is getting fit again. Like many people, this is always on the top of my resolutions. Although I work out year round, I love to try out new classes and workouts for motivation. Another great way to kick it into gear is with some great fitness apparel.
I do a lot of styling work in fitness, especially with Cosmo Body, so I am always on the hunt for cool gear. It was such a fun day working with the talented Astrid Swan decked out in all Carbon 38.
Some of my favorites to get your fitness on again are below!
It is that time of year again, and the NFL is in full swing. If you are as passionate about sports and fashion as I am, you know that wearing your favorite team logo is a no brainer. Launched in 2012, NFL fan style is quickly becoming a social forum with unique opportunities for fans to share their love of the game through fashion and accessories. It is the season of the fan where NFL fashion is the name of the game, and it couldn’t be more fun!
To learn more about the rules of winning the sportiest fashionista in the game head on over to NFL FanStyle and make sure to use #nflfanstyle when rocking your favorite gear.
A passion of mine is sports, and being raised in an NBA family, I have spent a good part of my life cheering on my favorite teams. This fall will be just the same, and one trend that I am digging is athletic leisure. Check out some of my tips when preparing to dress for a game, and some of my favorite sporty on trend looks below.
Know The Venue
Is this an outdoor stadium, or an indoor stadium? Where are your seats? Knowing ahead of time what the venue looks like and how it is laid out will prepare you for the type of day you will be encountering. Season ticket holders close to the field (or court), or first timers way up in the nosebleeds, you’ll be sure to enjoy it at any level.
Rain Or Shine
Anytime there is a chance of being outside, you always want to pay attention to the weather. Rain or shine, these large sporting events go on without hesitation. If there is even the slightest chance of rain, don’t assume the game will be cancelled—athletes have been trained to play in the worst conditions, so be ready to go no matter what.
Go The Distance
Let’s not sugar coat it, the duration of the day will be long, especially after going up and down those steep stairs for hot dogs. Wearing extra comfortable shoes is more than a necessity for any game day activity so stick with shoes with rubber soles like trainers, or even a shoe with a small wedge heel to make sure your feet are not going to give out on you half way through the day. Boots are always a hit; just make sure you’re positive they can go the distance.
Know The Team Colors
If you are a fan, support your team by wearing team colors! It may seem silly, but it’s part of the fun to give in to sports traditions. If you feel strange walking through the grocery store before hand with paint on your face, we promise you’ll feel right at home as soon as you get in that stadium. In fact, you may even feel left out by NOT wearing the team colors. Also, knowing the opposing teams colors is a good idea too, because nothing is more awkward then accidently choosing an all orange ensemble at a Los Angeles Dodgers home game versus The San Francisco Giants.
Small Bags Are Best
Choosin a bag that is small and requires no hands is your best bet, because you’ll want to stay mobile and not worry about finding a place to set it down. Who knows how many drinks are spilled at a game, and we don’t want your bag getting soaked with soda and mustard from being smashed on the floor by your feet.
