Well the weather is finally cooling off, and it is definitely time to start bringing out my boots and long sleeve sweaters. What I love about Cali, is that you can wear a long maxi skirt all year round as well as a fun jumpsuit. My go to for meetings is a casual jumper like this J.Crew piece. It is chic, yet still easy to wear.
This silk top from A.L.C. available at Saks is gorgeous. This whole look is perfect for a cocktail event, and if the weather tends to get chilly, I will throw on a cool suede moto jacket to keep it on the daring side. I have always been obsessed with maxi skirts, and you can find them from places like H&M to Nordstrom. I chose this white, because it is so pretty, and can be played up and down. For the day, I will simply add a nice chunky sweater to mix it up.
When it comes to accessories, this silk top needed a fun necklace like this Kendra Scott piece from Nordstrom. I also just added on my fun neutral clutch from Lulu’s to keep it streamlined. As for the jumpsuit, I feel a bit 70’s so I paired it with this fun sunglasses from the B.P. section at Nordstrom. They are only $12.00 and the bit of purple is super cool!
We all know I am a sneaker girl at heart, and I love love pairing Chuck Taylor’s with my maxi skirts. It keeps it fun and not too girly. As for this jumpsuit, it is time to break out some of my favorite booties, and I love the neutral color of these ones from Seychelles. Both of these are available at Nordstrom as well, and this brand is so comfortable I can wear them all day and into the night.
One of my favorite combinations is pairing a fun and dressy top with a pair of cute boyfriend denim. J.Crew has had so many cute little ruffle blouses all season long, and I love the gingham pattern on this one. It is girly but yet still fashionable and cool. Right now, my life is all about as much denim I can possible get my hands on.
I am obsessed with these boyfriend jeans that are high-waisted. They are worn in, but sill have a shape to them to make me feel sexy. This pair is from Nordstrom and are Citizens of Humanity, one of my long time favorites. This top will also look great with some white denim for sure.
When I wear a fun top like this I love to throw my hair up because then you can show of the neckline and wear a cool pair of earrings. I am on a hoop kick right now, as they are totally back in style. Grab a pair for cheap anywhere, these are from Nordstrom as well, and are only ten dollars!
Remember that these jeans look great with a simple pair of nude pumps like my favorite Steve Madden pair that I have had for about five years now. What I love is that they do this one every season in a bunch of colors, so make sure to check out their site.
Remember this fall, ruffle tops should be on everyones list as a fun and frilly trend!
I can’t believe that summer is over, and we are already gearing up for the fall. One of my favorite things is to always have fresh flowers in my house. They always make me smile and light up my day, and to be honest who doesn’t love receiving them as well? I came across The Bouqs Co. and immediately knew they would be my new go to for ordering flowers. I am a rose girl at heart, and so when they reached out to me this was my first choice. Although I have to say their whole Golden Hour Collection is amazing.
Not only do I love florals, but I don’t shy away from a great floral print as well! How cute is this Free People two piece look. What I love about it, is that you can wear it together or separately all through the fall. The high-waisted skirt is amazing, and I will throw on my leather jacket and a simple white tank with it. The fun crop will be perfect with my slouch boyfriend jeans to make it less dressy. It is the perfect look.
When it comes to bags, I love to find a unique piece to carry with me to the farmers market as well. This woven one from Lulus is fantastic. I can fit a ton of produce in it and throw it in my bike basket. Not only that, it makes for a great bag all around for all. I love the neutral colors of it, as it will go with so many different day looks.
Cheers to making someone’s day, because if you go to The Bouqs Co. between now and the end of September I am giving you 20% off.
Just use the promo code “XOSUZI” to send someone special a lovely bouquet!
It’s finally cold, and definitely the perfect week to cozy up for Thanksgiving. I am a huge fan of long sweaters, especially while traveling. They are perfect for on the plane or on a long car trip, not to mention just cozying up on the couch. I will be headed back east to Milwaukee where it will be cold, so the hood on this Lulu’s piece is perfect for any snow that may come my way.
This fun tee from Mother Denim is one of my favorites. I love the playfulness of it, and it is spot on with some cool distressed denim. I’m loving any jeans that have fray on the bottom like these from 7 For All Mankind. It makes them just a bit different than your average pair.
What I love about this look, is that you can wear it with some on trend velvet booties to make it a little more fun, or keep it more comfortable with some kicks. I am opting for both on this trip, as I will be running around the city, and going out at night.
There is something so cool and hip about these Nike Roshe Flyknit shoes. The boot makes it perfect for winter, and not only are they super comfortable, they are different then any other pair that I own.
This maxi dress from Karina Grimaldi, available at Hiptique is spot on for fall. The colors scream autumn in the city, and the tassel details are right on trend. Being here in Los Angeles, it is easy to get away without a jacket during the day, but as night falls, a simple leather jacket and booties make the look complete.
I took the day to shoot around FIDM where I studied after college. The campus is beautiful, and the trees are full of leaves that have turned the perfect fall shades. It’s always a reminder of how far I’ve come since the days of being a student here on campus. I had the chance to come back and speak, as always, I had a wonderful day talking to the students.
At this time of year, there are quite a few fashion events around the city, my go to is a long dress I can run around in easily. Karina Grimaldi is one of my favorites, as she always uses fun prints and details in the designs. As her seasons evolve, so do the designs, and you can find the best selection on Revolve Clothing.
