We all know that I am not the biggest fan of heels, and that my closet is full of sneakers, but I tend to love a chunky boot with dresses in the fall. One of my favorite lines is Seychelles. They are located right here in Los Angeles, and they make incredibly comfortable boots. I am digging anything that is olive green this season, and this boot is perfection for me. I can dress it up with a gorgeous dress or play it down with some boyfriend jeans and a cool adidas sweater.
You are going to see a lot of cool boots that have some fun attitude to them, whether they look masculine like these above, or have fun studs on them. When I find a pair I like, I usually wear them into the ground. Last season, their black bootie kept me going practically everyday in the New York City weather.
How pretty is this dress from Nicholas the Label available at Saks. I love pairing florals with a chunky boot to make it more casual. This dress is not only feminine with the ruffle details, but also shows a bit of skin to make it a little sexy as well. The colors are fantastic for fall here in Cali.
I also have been wearing my Daniel Wellington watch quite a bit. I usually love a big chunky watch, but this season I am going for a more feminine layering approach to my jewelry.
The it bag for me, is always from J.Crew. They do the same perfect cross body bag every season in a handful of colors. It has just enough room to fit your life inside of it, without feeling too big for a night out. You all know I love a cross body bag, it is the easiest for me to run around in!
Well, this fall has been insanely busy. I feel like I am juggling so many different plates, which is exciting and exhausting at the same time. So many fun projects are in the works, hopefully I can share them with you in the next month or two! One of the things that I love about California weather is that a simple lightweight sweater and cool jeans are usually about all you need this time of year.
For me, staying on time is imperative when you are busy. I was so excited to team up with Daniel Wellington, who make such pretty timepieces. This Classic Petite Ashfield is both dressy and sporty, so I can wear it with everything. If you head to www.danielwellington.com and enter SUZIG at checkout you will get 15% off!
So I am obsessed with all things fun and embellished right now. When I saw these “bee” sneaks from Steve Madden I knew I had to have them, I mean they are just so fun. Nothing reminds me to keep the pep in my step than these shoes, that is for sure.
I am always on the hunt for different types of sweaters that can be dressed up or down for a day on set, or a night out on the town. I love the bell sleeves of this Topshop sweater, because it is super on trend. I’ll wear it with my black leather skirt at night to dress it up.
I am still on a high waisted denim kick for fall, these jeans from Good American are more comfy than any I have worn in awhile. I love the idea of distressed ripped jean mixed with a cool sweater like this. Again, these can easily be rocked at night with a cool pump.
Well the weather is finally cooling off, and it is definitely time to start bringing out my boots and long sleeve sweaters. What I love about Cali, is that you can wear a long maxi skirt all year round as well as a fun jumpsuit. My go to for meetings is a casual jumper like this J.Crew piece. It is chic, yet still easy to wear.
This silk top from A.L.C. available at Saks is gorgeous. This whole look is perfect for a cocktail event, and if the weather tends to get chilly, I will throw on a cool suede moto jacket to keep it on the daring side. I have always been obsessed with maxi skirts, and you can find them from places like H&M to Nordstrom. I chose this white, because it is so pretty, and can be played up and down. For the day, I will simply add a nice chunky sweater to mix it up.
When it comes to accessories, this silk top needed a fun necklace like this Kendra Scott piece from Nordstrom. I also just added on my fun neutral clutch from Lulu’s to keep it streamlined. As for the jumpsuit, I feel a bit 70’s so I paired it with this fun sunglasses from the B.P. section at Nordstrom. They are only $12.00 and the bit of purple is super cool!
We all know I am a sneaker girl at heart, and I love love pairing Chuck Taylor’s with my maxi skirts. It keeps it fun and not too girly. As for this jumpsuit, it is time to break out some of my favorite booties, and I love the neutral color of these ones from Seychelles. Both of these are available at Nordstrom as well, and this brand is so comfortable I can wear them all day and into the night.
One of my favorite combinations is pairing a fun and dressy top with a pair of cute boyfriend denim. J.Crew has had so many cute little ruffle blouses all season long, and I love the gingham pattern on this one. It is girly but yet still fashionable and cool. Right now, my life is all about as much denim I can possible get my hands on.
I am obsessed with these boyfriend jeans that are high-waisted. They are worn in, but sill have a shape to them to make me feel sexy. This pair is from Nordstrom and are Citizens of Humanity, one of my long time favorites. This top will also look great with some white denim for sure.
When I wear a fun top like this I love to throw my hair up because then you can show of the neckline and wear a cool pair of earrings. I am on a hoop kick right now, as they are totally back in style. Grab a pair for cheap anywhere, these are from Nordstrom as well, and are only ten dollars!
Remember that these jeans look great with a simple pair of nude pumps like my favorite Steve Madden pair that I have had for about five years now. What I love is that they do this one every season in a bunch of colors, so make sure to check out their site.
Remember this fall, ruffle tops should be on everyones list as a fun and frilly trend!
I can’t believe that summer is over, and we are already gearing up for the fall. One of my favorite things is to always have fresh flowers in my house. They always make me smile and light up my day, and to be honest who doesn’t love receiving them as well? I came across The Bouqs Co. and immediately knew they would be my new go to for ordering flowers. I am a rose girl at heart, and so when they reached out to me this was my first choice. Although I have to say their whole Golden Hour Collection is amazing.
Not only do I love florals, but I don’t shy away from a great floral print as well! How cute is this Free People two piece look. What I love about it, is that you can wear it together or separately all through the fall. The high-waisted skirt is amazing, and I will throw on my leather jacket and a simple white tank with it. The fun crop will be perfect with my slouch boyfriend jeans to make it less dressy. It is the perfect look.
When it comes to bags, I love to find a unique piece to carry with me to the farmers market as well. This woven one from Lulus is fantastic. I can fit a ton of produce in it and throw it in my bike basket. Not only that, it makes for a great bag all around for all. I love the neutral colors of it, as it will go with so many different day looks.
Cheers to making someone’s day, because if you go to The Bouqs Co. between now and the end of September I am giving you 20% off.
