Last Minute Halloween Ideas

Okay, I know that not everyone gets as excited as I do for Halloween, and if you are like many of my friends, you wait until the last minute to get a costume. This doesn’t have to be hard, all it takes is a good sweep of your own closet and a quick run to a local Halloween store or even a Target.

Here are some easy last minute ideas if you are in a pinch!

DIY: Grab your cut off jean shorts, and white tennis shoes, add some devil ears and a bodysuit like this one from American Apparel.

Lumberjack Costume

DIY: Grab some jeans, boots, and a flannel from your closet, and hit a local Target for a beanie and some men’s suspenders.

Skeleton Costume

DIY: Head to Topshop for this tight mini dress and add a bootie.

Witch Costume

Halloween Costume Time – Fun Pop Culture ideas for Couples!

As we all know, dressing up for Halloween means getting your creative juices flowing. If you and your other half are struggling to come up with fun, and creative ideas, here is a round up of some of the best pop culture couples to recreate. Have fun with this one, and use your imagination to come up with a clever duo from any time in television history.

Zak and Kelly from Saved by the Bell

For her: Anything cropped, neon, or off-the-shoulder will do. You could also make Bayside High sweatshirt. Don’t forget to spray those bangs up!
For him: A blond wig is a must, along with a collared shirt (don’t forget you’re preppy!), baggy jeans, and old-school high-tops. A giant fake cell phone.

Daisy and Jay From The Great Gatsby

For her: A glittery, 1920s-style dress with a jeweled headband. Don’t forget tons of jewelry.
For him: A tux, a Champagne glass, and a smile.

For Mitch: Wear a red wig with a short beard, and a white collared shirt under a cardigan.
For Cam: The shirt makes the costume: It must be patterned with a collar and cuffs in a loud, contrasting print.

Halloween Costume Time – Fun pop culture ideas for 2015!

Halloween may be one of my favorite holidays, and each year I get so excited to come up with a fun and clever costume idea. This past year, women on television were a lively bunch, and a big trend in costumes is all about pop culture. From Game of Thrones, to Mad Max, and The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt you can make a fun play on comedy, or use your imagination and go to the darker side.
