The NFL is already in week five, can you believe it? The Steelers are 3-1 going into tomorrow’s game against the Jaguars. This weekend I am doing a fun homegating party, and having everyone wear their favorite team gear. For me, it is all about working it into some fun and trendy sportswear pieces. This t-shirt is from 47brand, one of my favorite lines for sports gear.
I am totally into all kinds of ripped jeans this season, and I finally took the time to try on a pair from Khloe Kardashian’s line Good American available at Nordstrom. They are so comfortable, and are the perfect pair because not only are they super on trend, I can jump up and down and cheer in them.
So many fun lines are making a comeback, and this jacket from Kappa is super cool and retro. I love that it can double up with my leather pants and boots this fall. Stay tuned for more fun throwback lines coming your way!
Of course, I have some new kicks that have just arrived to my door, and the colorway is light and easy. This adidas NMD XR1 kick has a sock-like primeknit making it feel like you are walking and running on air. They are perfect for a basic day, as well as a full long run.
I have been on the hunt for a fun new line of stadium approved bags, and this line from Sheer Gear is one of the cutest I have seen so far. Their bags are all super trendy, and my favorite part is the cute Steeler color pomp poms that are on the side of the bag. I mean how cute is that? I feel like I can totally keep my sense of style with their bags!
Okay okay, you have me here, I did not attend a college with a football team. Can you believe it? Yes, I missed out on tailgates, painting my face, and running wild as a college kid does during games, but I have learned to love college game day just as much as the rest.
When people ask me if I have grown to love a team, I would have to say that I have enjoyed watching how bowl games and now a national championship have shaped college football in the last ten years. Yes, sometimes I yearn to have gone to a school such as Bama, where you can just see people breathing the spirit of it all, but I certainly did get a sense of that growing up with college hoops. And yes people, I know it is very different. So if one may ask, I would have to say I am taking my dad’s alma mater the University of Pittsburgh. I have been lucky to see a few of their games, as well as attend UCLA and USC football games. What I love the best is being in Los Angeles, and seeing the total fandom of both of these teams.
With that being said, my goal this year is to attend a couple more big games, and finally attend a bowl game. I will keep you posted, and until I really decide on a team, I will be the ultimate fan in fun pieces like this Tommy Hilfiger football jersey. I mean I might as well bring some fun fashion into this right? Check out Urban Outfitters for fun gear! Anyhow, whomever your college football team may be, good luck and see you all tailgating across the country!
Well this official NFL custom Wilson football is the coolest piece of equipment I have ever received! So far, it has been more than exciting to be a part of the NFL Fan Style Fantasy Blogger League. The amount of cool things that I get to be involved with and share has been amazing.
If you cannot tell, I love to be outdoors, and throwing around a football is something that I grew up with. Especially during this time of year, as we have an annual family football game every Thanksgiving. This fun football with my fantasy football team name on it “Steelers and Stilettos” definitely will make me compete just that much more.
Thanks to Wilson, we have also received the Wilson X Connected football. My friends and family frequently use this football. If you are looking for a great holiday gift for an NFL fan, I highly recommend it. It is the world’s first smart football measuring distance, speed, spiral efficiency, and catch/drop thanks to an undetectable sensor. Not only that, but it will put you into the game, allows for you to create your own avatar, and then share your stats in the app on the Wilson X leaderboard with social media!

One of my passions in life, being raised in an NBA family, is that I have spent a good part of my life at sporting events. Athleisure wear has become such a big part of what we wear everyday, so it has become much easier to look cute, while still being comfortable at any type of game.
We know it’s hard to say goodbye to summer time, but when summer slowly runs it’s course, fall comes rushing in with cool breezes, beautiful colored leaves, delicious foods and yes, football season. Some may dread it, some may not even realize it’s here, and some may adore it, but regardless which category you fall into, you can’t deny going to a live sports game is beyond entertaining. The camaraderie, the cheering and the superstitious game-day-rituals make all sports events exciting. Whether you’re a super fan, or just a spectator, we’ll make sure you’re dressed and ready to go for any sports game.
Know The Venue
Is this an outdoor stadium, or an indoor stadium? Where are your seats? Knowing ahead of time what the venue looks like and how it is laid out will prepare you for the type of day you will be encountering. Season ticket holders close to the field (or court), or first timers way up in the nosebleeds, you’ll be sure to enjoy it at any level.
Rain Or Shine
Anytime there is a chance of being outside, we always want to pay attention to the weather. Rain or shine, these large sporting events go on without hesitation. If there is even the slightest chance of rain, don’t assume the game will be cancelled—athletes have been trained to play in the worst conditions, so be ready to go no matter what.
Layers for warmth
Sweatshirt with a hood
Rain poncho (no umbrellas; they block the view of your neighbors)
Rain boots (if necessary)
Lightweight jacket or long sleeve (perhaps something you can tie around your waist)
Hat to shield your face
Go The Distance
Let’s not sugar coat it, the duration of the day will be long, especially after going up and down those steep stairs for hot dogs. Wearing extra comfortable shoes is more than a necessity for any game day activity so stick with shoes with rubber soles like trainers, or even a shoe with a small wedge heel to make sure your feet are not going to give out on you half way through the day. Boots are always a hit; just make sure you’re positive they can go the distance.
Know The Team Colors
If you are a fan, support your team by wearing team colors! It may seem silly, but it’s part of the fun to give in to sports traditions. If you feel strange walking through the grocery store before hand with paint on your face, we promise you’ll feel right at home as soon as you get in that stadium. In fact, you may even feel left out by NOT wearing the team colors. Also, knowing the opposing teams colors is a good idea too, because nothing is more awkward then accidently choosing an all orange ensemble at a Los Angeles Dodgers home game versus The San Francisco Giants.
Small Bags Are Best
Choosing a bag that is small and requires no hands is your best bet, because you’ll want to stay mobile and not worry about finding a place to set it down. Who knows how many drinks are spilled at a game, and we don’t want your bag getting soaked with soda and mustard from being smashed on the floor by your feet. Also, the NFL now has a clear bag policy, so make sure to keep up to date on rules and regulations.
Getting the chance to attend a sporting event is a real experience from the beginning. From the pre-game grill sessions, to the screaming fans, to the little kids dancing in the stands, to the “kiss-cam” on the big screen, you’ll find there is plenty to take in besides just the game. So put on your best game-face and get rowdy with the professionals!
