Wow, this past week has been a whirlwind. I have been so lucky to team up with Hiptique on a fun project, Sneakerlab, Nice Kicks, and Nike! I feel like I was all over running to events, but through it all, I am realizing how blessed and fun it is to work in a field that I absolutely love. I also got to catch up with shop owner Jeremy Moore of Eighty Five Eighty Six to chat top trends.
The week started shooting a project with Hiptique, and these sequins pants are so fun for fall. If I am not wearing sneakers, the cool girl loafer trend is definitely my style as well. How cute are these from Sam Edelman?
Of course we shot most of the looks in this fun sweatshirt from Sundry and these camo joggers from Cami NYC. I have been living in these, and I simply paired them with my favorite Nike Air Max kicks.
The following day we shot at Eighty Five Eighty Six with Jeremy Moore. He actually got me into this Fila leggings for fall, and I love literally wearing them with the matching crop top and Jordans.
Thursday night and Friday it was all about Nice Kicks x Sneakerlab, and the Vogue x Nice Kicks event.
Both events were so fun, and seeing the Jordan that Anna Wintour did with Vogue was so cool!
Summer is here, and what I love about California is that you can wear denim all year around. I tend to live in denim shorts with a sweater, or cute white jeans with a fun top. There are so many new trends that I always tell people, stick to what you like. For me, that is a fun fray at the bottom of a jean, a cool utility looking pair, and of course denim shorts. Whatever you like to wear, dress them up or down with a fun heel or some cool sneakers.
The overall trend is back, and yes I know not everyone loves them, but if you want to do something different try this trend. This pair is from McGuire Denim, and are sexy and playful at the same time. I paired it with my favorite swimsuit from Solid and Striped, because that trend is also going strong. Last, these cute kicks from The Greats Brand, are not only fun but super funky too.
You can make white denim, like these from Mcguire work with about everything as well! The fray on the bottom makes them unique, and a simple button up and hat keep it light and summery.
We all know I love my animal print, and these shoes from Steve Madden are so dang cute.
A most certain for me, is high waist denim short. These work with a swimsuit, a sweater, and a cool blouse. The weather is so perfect in the summer to wear them all the time!
Sundry clothing in one of my favorites, and they have branched out into cool pants too. I love that these feel very utility but girly at the same time. I paired them with my new Arkyn adidas kicks, and a cool Ivy Park crop top from Nordstrom.
No matter what your style is, make sure to pick up the denim that you love and suits your personal style!
I had the pleasure to celebrate adidas last week with about ten other female influencers, and it was amazing. They teamed up with Nice Kicks at the Mondrian Hotel for a day of celebrating the launch of the Arkyn. This shoe is amazing, just like the event and the other women that I met. We had a round table talk, and it honestly only makes me more excited about what I am doing in my field.
The setting up on Sunset Blvd. was absolutely perfect to kick off summer, and this white pair is super cute and perfect for everyone.
Nice Kicks, put on the perfect day with adidas, and gave us some pretty cool goodies, including a fun necklace, and some pampering facials along with new kicks.
Of course I wore my favorite Gazelles, and this window seat is the perfect place to chill out.
This is the other amazing pair of Arkyn sneakers that I have, and between the two of them, I will be kicking up my feet all summer!
Well spring is pretty much here! The weather is starting to get warmer, and the days are finally longer. I love living at the beach, and this is one of my favorite times of year. The days feel perfect, but the nights are still cool enough to throw on a jacket. As we know, I am all about a fun tee, mixed with well…the unexpected. These high-waisted pants from Hiptique are absolutely so adorable. They have just the cutest little floral print on them, but the shape is still more masculine. I love mixing it with this California tee, and adding a denim jacket at night. I am all about some major sneakers this spring, and there are drops galore. I definitely have about five pairs on my radar now, and that is not even the beginning!
How cute are these mint Reebok’s from DSW? I love that you can find so many great pairs of kicks for the right price there. Not to mention, I always carry a little purse filled with my favorite makeup when I am running around town, and this one from Hiptique as well, makes me smile!
Well 2018 is off to a big start, and the athleisure trend is nowhere near going away. For me, the comeback of lines such as adidas originals, Fila, and Champion have taken this to an even more cool girl level. I love the idea of pairing an edgy winter coat with some throwback track pants and cool kicks.
This coat from Guess is one of my favorites that I have purchased all year. It is not only on sale now, but you can take the pink fur on and off, which makes it playful and fun or super simple and clean. I love the faux fur mixed with olive green. I also like wearing it with my track pants from adidas for an edgy athleisure look.
The pull apart track pant is hot for 2018 and you can wear it all year long. Both adidas and Nike have some fun pairs. These are so unique as the white adidas stripe is a show off, and you can mix them up with so many different color ways. For winter I will be wearing them with my coats, but come spring a simple crop tee is perfect with a ball cap.
We all know that any throwback sneakers I can find I want! These rose gold Nike’s I found at their outlet mall on major sale. If you have one in your city, it is a must. They have tons of harder to find pairs. I love that these can be dressed up because of their shine, or paired simply with the track pant. The FORCE logo makes them pop even more. I linked a few pairs that are similar because the metallic trend isn’t going away!
