I can’t believe that the MLB baseball playoffs are right around the corner. It is officially fall, and where did the time go? The Los Angeles Dodgers are in first place in the National League, and this city is excited! When I say they are good, guys they are great. I don’t follow baseball as closely as I do the NBA and NFL, but I usually get really excited when playoffs roll around. Being in Cali for as long as I have, I would say that my team on the west coast is obviously the Dodgers, so I will for sure be getting to a playoff game for a hot dog and beer!
One of the things I love about a good old baseball hat like this one from 47 Brand is that it looks worn in and has a vintage feel to it. When I am running errands around town after a workout, it is so easy to throw on a cap repping your team. I have become obsessed with anything that is oversized this season, and if you are looking for a trendy piece, make sure to find a cool sweatshirt like this one from Rag and Bone I literally throw it on with my yoga leggings and I am stylish for the day. Not to mention, these days I like to carry a small bag that fits my phone and a credit card. How cute is this one from Nordstrom? It is under $50.00 and totally adds some more style to the look.
If you haven’t jumped on the legging bandwagon, then it is time to do so. Zella from Nordstrom fits me really well, and they are not too expensive and are on trend. These are such a great color, and the moto style makes it easy to wear them all day without feeling boring.
I did encounter a little bit of a shoe problem when it came to this look. I just picked up these adidas kicks, and they really go the distance when it comes to running on the treadmill and doing errands around town. They look just as great with a pair of simple denim jeans and a t-shirt.
I also kind of want to kick up my leggings in these fun Nike kicks. The Nike logo is the cutest baby pink which makes them also so fun. There is a bit of an added girly touch to them, which obviously makes the high top unique!
Well, this week is going to be long, fun, and exhausting all at once. I am off to New York city for two fun events with the NFL. I cannot wait to show you what I am up to this season, as we only have one more week until this party starts!!!! Can you tell that I am excited? Also, I will be going straight from New York City to Portland Oregon for some basketball and influencer meetings with both adidas and Nike. So stay tuned for some cool stuff this fall.
When I travel, and spend more time on the plane, I love to be comfy. These adidas Ultraboost X sneakers are some of my favorites. They are super comfortable, and I can work out in them. I also have two redeye flights, so being able to feel cute and cozy is a must. I live in my adidas pants in the winter. I usually throw on a hat and comfy sweater that are also on trend. Sundry is one of my favorite lines, and this Here for Halftime sweater is a must. By the way Goorin Brothers makes the cutest hats, so check them out as well.
Below are some of my favorite products for feeling refreshed when you know you will not be getting all of that beauty sleep you need!
I love a great hydrating tinted moisturizer that I can wear on the plane and during the day that is lightweight.
I swear by Rosebud Salve, when you travel. This is good for your cheeks, hands, and of course lips. I use it all over!
My eyes get puffy when I don’t stay hydrated so I always travel on the plane with my Peter Thomas Roth gel mask. It is perfection!
Kiehls is one of my favorite products, I stock up on their lotions. If you know me, my skin is super sensitive, and this herbal acne kit is amazing. I use it more when I travel and take travel sizes on the plane with me.
Well summer is quickly coming to an end, and it is that time of year again where I start thinking about some cool light jackets. For me, that means some cool girl vibes with a track jacket. What I love is that you can mix it up with some denim shorts and sneakers, and when the weather is cooler simply throw on a cool maxi skirt to make more edgy. Of course, It is also perfect with any workout leggings to head to a workout. With the Nordstrom Anniversary sale coming to an end, I picked out a few of my favorite ones to still get now.
I love the style of the adidas bomber jacket above! They also have a pretty cool new Neoprene Tubular out that will be perfect for all of fall and winter!
It has been about six months since I joined the Like to Know it Family, and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the team. They have made shopping so simple for everyone, and with their newest screenshot technology shopping my looks plus thousands of other influencers couldn’t be easier.
Main Street in Venice is one of my favorite places, as it is filled with some of my favorite restaurants and shopping boutiques. When Like to Know it decided to do a fun pop up for their influencers and have a local artist do a fun mural, I had to stop by.
Of course, when I went it was so much fun to meet other women who work for the company and influencers that are also a part of the group. I definitely wanted to wear something that very much fit my personality, and so my favorite adidas gazelle sneakers were a go to.
I also have been digging Madewell lately, which is J.Crew’s sister company. How cute is this Santa Cruz tee? I love that it has the year I was born on it, and that it really expresses my personality of my Cali roots. I simply threw on my favorite J.Crew bracelets to add some accessories.
Besides my favorite sneakers, I have been living in my white denim from J.Crew. They are perfect with everything in the summer, and usually I put on a simple belt to add to the look. This one is also from J.Crew, but you can find a cool skinny belt anywhere! I couldn’t have had a more fun day with the team! Remember to sign up to Like to Know it, so you can continue to easily shop all of my looks!
Every summer in Las Vegas, the NBA puts on a display like you have never seen. What started over a decade ago by Warren Legaire, with the help of my father who is a seasoned NBA coach, has turned into the must be place of the summer. Young players and rookies come out to play with their respected NBA teams and it is a place to watch all of the amazing young talent. This year was a whole different level for me, as I had several meetings during the week, for both design and social media.
Celtics and Lakers Matchup
On day one, the entire Thomas and Mack arena was sold out, and people were waiting outside to get in. The first matchup between the Celitcs and the Lakers was crazy. If you are watching hoops, you know that Lonzo Ball, who was drafted by the Lakers, is a person to watch, and the fans came out screaming.
Not only that, it is a place for every agent, coach, owner, and front office to come together once a year to watch and scout talent. It is so fun, as 25 years with my dad coaching in the league, I know so many people and love chatting about who are the people and teams to watch. Here is pictured above showing plays to young coaches during one of the Milwuakee Bucks practices.
Also, it has hit the media hard. Both NBA TV and TNT broadcasters are out interviewing. NBA TV now broadcasts all of summer league on television as well as ESPN. The crew from The Starters did a great live set each day interviewing players.
Besides young players, pretty much every major NBA player shows up sometime during the week. Two of my favorite sightings were John Wall and of course Lebron James. Being in Vegas, it is the perfect place to come out, go out at night, and have a little fun while watching hoops.
