Comfy Athleisure Vibes

Well 2018 is off to a big start, and the athleisure trend is nowhere near going away. For me, the comeback of lines such as adidas originals, Fila, and Champion have taken this to an even more cool girl level. I love the idea of pairing an edgy winter coat with some throwback track pants and cool kicks.

Winter coat from Guess

This coat from Guess is one of my favorites that I have purchased all year. It is not only on sale now, but you can take the pink fur on and off, which makes it playful and fun or super simple and clean. I love the faux fur mixed with olive green. I also like wearing it with my track pants from adidas for an edgy athleisure look.

athleisure pull apart track pants

The pull apart track pant is hot for 2018 and you can wear it all year long. Both adidas and Nike have some fun pairs. These are so unique as the white adidas stripe is a show off, and you can mix them up with so many different color ways. For winter I will be wearing them with my coats, but come spring a simple crop tee is perfect with a ball cap.

We all know that any throwback sneakers I can find I want! These rose gold Nike’s I found at their outlet mall on major sale. If you have one in your city, it is a must. They have tons of harder to find pairs. I love that these can be dressed up because of their shine, or paired simply with the track pant. The FORCE logo makes them pop even more. I linked a few pairs that are similar because the metallic trend isn’t going away!

NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS

I cannot believe that 2018 is here! Wow, what an exciting and challenging year 2017 was, which certainly makes me giddy with delight for what is to come in the next few months. I have never worked so hard at continuing to get the blog going, and making progress with all of the fun projects that consumed last year. January and February are going to be two crazy months of work, as I launch my YouTube channel focusing on athlete fashion as well as travel for both the Super Bowl and NBA All-Star. That being said, like everyone else, I have certainly had too many beverages and sweets, with a lack of working out over the holidays. This month my goal is to really focus on changing up my workouts, eating clean, and not drinking. I will be on camera, and I want to feel and look my best! One of the biggest goals for me is to work on my core, and what better way then to hire a trainer and buy some cute new workout gear.

High Waist Print Leggings

Workout gear

I’m a big fan of printed leggings, like these ones from Beyond Yoga. I love how they are high-waisted as I find working out is much easier when I do not have to continue to pull up my pants. I love a simple sports bra from Alo Yoga. It gives me motivation when I am working on my core. I belong to a gym, but with my training, taking my workout straight to the beach is simple and fun. The sand will kick your butt.

Longline Sports Bra workout gear

Like many of us, we also run around all day in our gear, and simply layering a super cool and on trend track jacket is key for me. I love this piece from Puma, and a simple pair of aviator shades as well.

Satin Track Jacket

Lately I have been rotating my sneakers up depending on my workouts. I find that adidas work well for me when I am cross training, and Nike is perfect for my runs. These are simply clean and comfy. I also love that you can pair them with some jeans, and that these leggings will go well with a chunky sweater too. Cheers to the New Year and keeping up with all of your resolutions and goals!

Leopard Coats and Kicking Boots!

FINALLY, it is cold enough here in Cali to put on a cool coat and rock some fishnet tights with boots. I do not know about you guys, but I have a huge crush on outerwear and probably own way too many jackets, just like my sneakers. This season, besides faux fur, I love a fun leopard print. This one is from J.Crew and right now is totally on sale at 30% off! My other top picks are from ASOS and Topshop. You are even seeing leopard fur on army jackets, and in the linings to add a bit of a funk.

Double Leopard Topcoat

I have also kind of fallen in love with hats this season. I’m usually in a baseball cap or my favorite straw summer hat, so I decided to branch out and purchase a fun beret this season along with a lieutenant hat. I have to say, it totally makes for a fun gift for the on trend girl, and adds a hint of cool girl factor to a look. The one above is only $40 at Nordstrom. If you are feeling frisky, their Brass Plum section has all kinds of bright colors.

I have partnered up with Daniel Wellington this season, who offer some of the best timepieces out there. Not only that, they have all kinds of amazing deals and bundles that they offer. The price point is great, and makes for the perfect gift. From now until December 31st, when you use my code “SUZIG” at checkout, you will get an additional 15% off. Oh, and there are additional discounts, free shipping and returns, and gift wrapping. I mean, it is a one stop shop for everyone on your list!

Sporty t-shirt dress

I also have to say, that the sporty T-shirt dress is here to stay, so why not continue to wear it by layering it the way I did here. Both adidas and Champion have my favorites. The way to make it funky for this season, is definitely with a coat like this and some jazzy fishnets. I love tights, and for me, I always try to find pairs that make my look sparkle.

Lace-up boots

Yep, these boots were made for walking, dancing, and just about anything this winter. If I am not in kicks, I turn to block style boots, and these have that utility feel to them with a bit of feminine edge. These are from Sam Edelman at Nordstrom, but you can find some amazing deals as well on Zappos. My other favorites right now are Timberlands!

Jumping into Monday!

Well, I am not exactly happy that it is Monday again, but there are so many fun things coming up in the next few weeks, that I feel like it is going to fly by. I am gearing up for three different fun styling jobs here in Los Angeles, filming for my new You Tube channel, and writing an article for Who What Wear! I love all the different plates that I am juggling as it for sure keeps me on my toes. One of the things that I am focused on is keeping in shape and making sure that I am getting in my workouts during these next few weeks. It always keeps me focused and feeling good. My favorite thing to do is just get out and run, but lately I have been doing some fun dance classes too!

Keep in shape with fun workouts

If I am taking a class, I love to bring a simple cross body bag like this one from Brass Plum at Nordstrom. You can throw keys, a credit card, and your phone and that is all you need. I also love this cute pull over from Puma. It is also from Nordstrom, and it has just the amount of style that you need to keep it on all day and run around town.

Brass plum Body bag

In the fall, I like to mix things up and put on a cute pastel shoe, like these adidas gazelles. It switches things up, and they are certainly girly, but are fun mixed with everything from workout pants to a cute dress. I love mixing brown and olive greens with pinks.

camo and pink

As we know, I am a massively huge fan of all things camo! These yoga tights from Onzie are one of my favorite pair. Again, not only are they hot in the gym, but they transition right into everyday athleisure life. Also, love this mix of the feminine and masculine!

Everyday, Game Day

How do you Athleisure?

I can’t believe that the MLB baseball playoffs are right around the corner. It is officially fall, and where did the time go? The Los Angeles Dodgers are in first place in the National League, and this city is excited! When I say they are good, guys they are great. I don’t follow baseball as closely as I do the NBA and NFL, but I usually get really excited when playoffs roll around. Being in Cali for as long as I have, I would say that my team on the west coast is obviously the Dodgers, so I will for sure be getting to a playoff game for a hot dog and beer!

Baseball hat and sweats

One of the things I love about a good old baseball hat like this one from 47 Brand is that it looks worn in and has a vintage feel to it. When I am running errands around town after a workout, it is so easy to throw on a cap repping your team. I have become obsessed with anything that is oversized this season, and if you are looking for a trendy piece, make sure to find a cool sweatshirt like this one from Rag and Bone I literally throw it on with my yoga leggings and I am stylish for the day. Not to mention, these days I like to carry a small bag that fits my phone and a credit card. How cute is this one from Nordstrom? It is under $50.00 and totally adds some more style to the look.

Zella leggings for Athleisure look

If you haven’t jumped on the legging bandwagon, then it is time to do so. Zella from Nordstrom fits me really well, and they are not too expensive and are on trend. These are such a great color, and the moto style makes it easy to wear them all day without feeling boring.

Adidas kicks

I did encounter a little bit of a shoe problem when it came to this look. I just picked up these adidas kicks, and they really go the distance when it comes to running on the treadmill and doing errands around town. They look just as great with a pair of simple denim jeans and a t-shirt.

I also kind of want to kick up my leggings in these fun Nike kicks. The Nike logo is the cutest baby pink which makes them also so fun. There is a bit of an added girly touch to them, which obviously makes the high top unique!
