Planes, trains, and automobiles – Travel essentials

As a stylist, I am always on the go. Having just landed from a holiday in Spain, I am already turning around to hop on a plane again for a beautiful late summer wedding in Idaho. Whether I am jet setting across the country on a plane, or literally getting ready for an event in my car (yes we Los Angeles people are quite used to this) I have learned that less is more.

When I am going from place to place, there are a few items that I cannot live without. In my younger years, I would be weighed down with too many products, but as I have aged finding a few good ones makes travel much easier. These essentials below keep me organized and help me to feel alive and refreshed no matter what time zone I am in.

LL Bean boat and tote

This bag has come everywhere with me. Not only does it easily travel while I am in LA, it is perfect for taking on a flight. One big perk, it holds quite a bit, and yes you can monogram it making it a bit more personal. Did I mention that it is also super cost efficient?

Louis Vuitton Coin Purse

I usually carry a large wallet in my everyday life, but when I travel I find it easy to take the few credit cards I need and a small amount of money with me. Condensing this takes up less space, and I can transition from day to night very easily.

Rose Bud Lip Salve

This is a miracle worker. My friends laugh as they find these small wonderful pots all over my car, house, and purses. Not only is it an amazing lip balm, I rub it on my hands and cheeks to stay extra moisturized while in flight.

Clarins Beauty Flash Balm

I stumbled across this genius in a bottle a few years ago, and it has saved my face from all signs of jet lag over the years. A simple swipe of this refreshes your face and creates and instant glow again.

Vince cashmere cardigan

These things are yummy and comfy in every possible way. I am always cold on planes and while on set, so I want to look great and feel as cozy as possible. This sweater comes with me on every trip to throw on when there a bit of chill in the air.
