My Style, Weekend whereabouts

Fourth of July Weekend!

I cannot believe that July 4th is here again! It seems that as soon as this holiday passes summer tends to fly by. This year, I will be spending right back at home on the beach in Cali. This is a long weekend, and it certainly wouldn’t be complete without baseball, bbq’s, and beach time. I love to get into the spirit, so I chose a few key pieces to mix and match all holiday weekend. My favorite pastime in the summer is definitely hitting a baseball game or two. Not only did I get to go to Angel stadium, I caught a Dodger game in the cutest tee from Fan Girl By Megan.

fourth of July "mom" jeans

There are fireworks almost every night, and the evenings certainly tend to cool off at the beach. I love this Wildfox sweatshirt from Nordstrom. It is so comfy and soft, and will keep me warm in the am and the evening. Of course I paired it with my favorite denim “mom” jeans from Topshop. These go with everything, and I love that they are high-waisted, my favorite cut.

One piece swimsuit for fourth of July weekend

We all know that I love a one-piece swimsuit. This is because you can literally wear it out as well. This starry piece I found at Nordstrom as well, and it certainly gets me right in the holiday mood. I wore it in the waves all day, and then rode around Venice Beach with my denim. That is the great thing with something so universal.

Red white and blue backpack

For me in the summer, especially when headed to the beach and riding my back, I love to carry a backpack. It evens out the weight and you can shove a ton of things in it. Herschel Supply Co.  are one of my favorite brands. How cute is this red, white, and blue one? Plus they hold everything and the price point is insane!

Nike Cortez

The Nike Cortez is back in a major way. This shoe got its start at the 1972 Olympics by track coach and designer Bill Bowerman. What is more All-American then that? Not only that, they are super comfortable and the retro feel has me dancing through the streets!

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY EVERYONE!
